Come on you Hatters
Best of luck with everything. Hope they’ve caught it early enough.
Sent you msgWell ..... it’s not good news !!
I will survive !!!
but need drastic treatment pronto ...
Either .....
1. Prostrate surgery
2. Chemotherapy
3. radioactive bits stuck inside me
Still a bit shocked ...... and still reading the pamphlets !!!
More later !!!
Chin up buddyGood morning everyone
Well it’s been a while .... hope you all have missed me ??
It’s been a bit of a roller coaster mentally since diagnosis and planning holidays etc etc
And yes I completed the London to Brighton cycle challenge with my 15 year old boy .... just under 5 hours which was amazing as it rained for 3/4 of the 54 miles !!
A little update time ....
Next week I have my Brachytherapy operation, (inserting radioactive seeds in my prostate) to try to stop the cancer ...
Lots of side effects which I won’t go into BUT it’s the Op with the least rubbish side effects!
On the bike front My Bird hasn’t been ridden in well over a month ... so took it in for its service and early MOT (left it at the garage yesterday) just hope I get it back before my op !! As I won’t be able to ride it for a little while.
That’s it for now ....
Catch up soon !!
Well done, any doctors/nurses with....Greetings everyone
Sat in the ward having had my operation this morning !
Luckily it was a general anaesthetic and still a bit wobbly !
Radioactive lower regions ....
Being kept in overnight and so looking forward to hospital food (said no one ever !)
Apparently all went well.... will know more later !
And should see fantastic PSA results before Christmas .....
Fingers crossed !!
THANKYOU for your support, words of wisdom and general piss taking !!
Well done, any doctors/nurses with....
Earplugs essential in a hospital,ward....even during the day!!Just read through this from my original post, almost 5 years ago !
And yes it is 4.15am !!! As hospital wards aren’t conducive to quality sleep
Quite a journey !!
And I’ve said it before .... I was very lucky !
Get yourself tested .... it’s embarrassing BUT if this horrible disease can be caught early enough !
According to the adverts 1 in 2 people will be affected by cancer !
And many men die with it, not necessarily of it !
We are supposed to be living longer ...
Don’t leave it until it’s too late!!
We MOT our vehicles every year, let’s start looking after ourselves too.
On that thought everyone .... it’s 4.26am and I wish you all a fantastic weekend.
Off now, for a hour or two kip
Just keep you hands off himPlenty of female nurses, Squag ..... but not one had them on show !
Does a rather large gentleman in the same ward count ? His moobs seem quite large
