Cheaper than the bill we have just had for the cat!!
But I have still got to have the op.... They wanted a total of almost € 8000 for that.. and the surgeon said ( and this is a quote ) "I have 10 minutes spare in the morning, I can do it then"

During my recent enforced ( very expensive ) 4 hour visit to a private hossy in Spain, they did a full work up of bloods..Apart from being ( still ) low on potassium happy to say that everything else came back fine
Not sure it was worth £800 fooking quid though

Strangely I have a low potassium count too !!
All tests below the lower limits they need
Had to do a 24 hour urine collection recently ... and more blood tests .... awaiting the next step on this !
Bananas ... can’t stand them !!!

Mine aint excessive, but I do usually take 1/2 of a tablet that looks like those Borroca things every day... get 'em from Sainsburys about £2 a tube ( Sainsburys own label.. you have to read the label as they do two that look the same, and only one has potassium in )
'Coarse, I forgot to take them with me this last trip !

Well...... .. a little update

Friday I go in for a ‘prostrate template biopsy’ !!
The specialist would like to cover all the bases and assure himself (and me) that I don’t have cancer (or at least be as sure as he can be !!

My PSA raised to 6 recently and that was his cut off level before prostrate biopsy’s
And the MRI was inconclusive,
So ..... ‘in I go’ says the consultant !
General anaesthetic !
And legs in stirrups !

Don’t google the operation as I did !!!
But I should know the results in a couple of weeks !!!

Good luck fella. Don't forget to review that as a day out on trip advisor. I too googled it in advance and immediately wished I hadn't!

Apparently all men die with prostate cancer, only some die because of

Both my brother in laws recently had prostate problems, but not cancer, and so I asked to be tested to put my wife’s mind at ease, the result came back as 0.34 and so they said I won’t get tested again.

Just been for diabetes and cholesterol check - 56 and 4.4 respectively, and so nurse is happy with my progress.

It’s a pita getting old with all the problems that arise, but still better than the alternative

Sorry to hear your news, I went through the cancer treatment 9 years ago, had a operation, chemo then radiotherapy. It is not easy to go through but doable.

I may, or may not, have machined the shielding for such anal probes.

I do hope I remembered to deburr them properly.

I also hope any treatment goes well.

Saw a specialist today ...
She was suggesting ‘radioactive seeds’ implanted in prostrate
See another specialist next week to discuss prostrate removal
Neither of which I fancy .... but best 2 routes for my situation

Whatever I decide ..... I will be in some sort of surgery within 4 weeks !!
