Time to re-gauge opinion?
So much has now happened....... some facts to date:
- Goncalo Amaral - the PJ Chief sacked from Maddie case and charged with omission of evidence and falsifying documents in the Joana Cipriano case - desperately tries to save face by launching a book that is full of the same time wasting and speculative accusations that got him removed from the case in the first place.
- Fernando Monteiro, of the Portuguese Prosecutors Department, has said that the only correct course of action was to drop the cases(s) against Robert Murat and the McCanns as the PJ were unable to produce any credible evidence linking them with Madeleine's disappearance.
- Almeida Rodrigues, National Director of the PJ, says that the Police process has been archived but the the case remains open and any new leads or evidence will be immediately investigated. This will be ongoing until the case reaches a finite conclusion.
- Robert Murat and two others awarded libel damages of ?600,000 from four newspaper groups who all admitted in court to fabricating evidence that they were involved in Maddie's disappearance.
- McCanns awarded ?550,000 against Express Newspapers who admitted their allegations against them were untrue.
- The 7 friends on holiday with the McCanns receive ?375,000 damages from Express Newspapers after they admitted in court that they wholly fabricated allegations that the friends covered for the McCanns and misled the police investigation.
So now that the influence of the papers has been exposed for what it was, do the doubters still feel the same way as before..?
Does everybody still think they "done it"?
Be honest and tell us if you still feel the same..... or you've changed your mind.
Has the hate campaign been killed off by all this?
Personally, I haven't met a single individual in ages who still thinks the McCanns are in any way connected.
There's still no body. Could she still be alive?
