Just an up date.
Gatso and I want to know if any B&B has been found near to the 'big house'. Also what price ticket are we booking are they the ones for stand H for definate or will they all be sold by now? I think we need to get a wriggle on sorting things out...........

...Hi Graphite...

...I can only offer advice on what I've been given to understand so far regarding accomodation: we'll be staying with Rhino & Emma at his brother's house. As far as tickets are concerned, we've already paid for ours (Stand H) and I don't know if they've sold out. Why not get details from the website and make some enquiries?

http://www.circuitcat.com/ingles/venta/tribunasgp.asp

There are also some Formula One B&B's in the area, you'll find them using a search engine.

Hope this helps!

OK, the accomodation so far is..

The big house is as it says.........but its a little 'rustic' but habitable and dry, it has 4 bedrooms and no food, eating out only.
If your staying at the BIG house then i can arrange the linnen etc.

Up the road is 'Hotel Stop Bellpuig' which is 23 euros per night inc breakfast for a double room, safe bike parking in the underground garage at the BIG house.

Big house will hopefully have BBQ and on line beer by means of a barrell from my sister in laws bar.

Graphite, Paul said he'll sort that out for you if you can confirm its a definate, he'll reserve the rooms for you in his native tongue ( i think he knows them).
Just confirm though if its the cheaper 'Hotel Stop Bellpuig' you want.

Yep, thats the place we want, just one more question (blimey this is turning into an epic innit!) whats the form.. are people making their way down for the practice or just for the race as I assume if there are ride outs they will be on the Monday or Tuesday?

...We're definitely going to the MotoGP on the Sunday...We'll be in stand "H" and if everyone's happy to travel together on the day, that would be great! A-rr...That's about all we're commited to, really, as we'll be too busy relaxing/touring/boozing to think about anything else!

I don't want to be a killjoy, but the one thing that Lorraine and I (and, I strongly suspect, Rhino and Fodder, too) want to avoid is a "must do" scenario. We can put our heads together when we get to Belpuig to decide what happens on, or before race day. After that...the world (or Spain, at least!) is ours to explore.
:yo:

I know that John has some ideas for rideouts - but let's not forget that he's on holiday, too - so can we just play it by ear - at least, until we arrive in Belpuig? :-:

Look forward to meeting you soon, Graphite - as you're already over there, can you do the decent thing and arrange some decent weather for us, M8? :p

I do have some ideas for rideouts yes, i will share the ideas with you and leave it to yourselves if you want to come along.
This is our holiday too but had there been more attending i would have organised better and committed myself to dates, times & locations etc.
I have family there that i haven't seen for 5 years so i will need a bit of slack.

Re race day, i'm not sure what stand etc i'll be in but i'm happy to ride there together and my intention IS to do Andorra on the Monday or Tuesday so you have some idea of what to expect.
If you want my mobile number i'll PM it to you or mail it.

...Well...

...I've booked time off work, paid for the ferry tickets, paid for the race tickets and arranged for new tyres and a service on the 'Bird two days before we leave these green, green shores for the barren lands of Spain...
:violin:

...After ages spent in the art of gentle persuasion, innumerable bouquets of flowers and absolutely endless marathons of love-making sessions  (well...twice bi-weekly per annum must be some kind record) to convince my darling wife that this trip would encapsulate the culmination of our very existence...let's face it...

...The build-up to the MotoGP season - including the first race at Jerez - has been total crap, hasn't it, fellow campers?

...What, with Rossi messing about in the first, pre-season test - to the extent that he lost the chance to win a BMW...

...And with Gibernau clearly demonstrating the fact that he lacks sufficient skill to negotiate a relatively simple corner if he is even notionally distracted by the presence of another vehicle (can you imagine how long he'd last on "Spaghetti Junction"?)

...I'm considering asking for a refund so I can book a weekend in Windermere - a location jovially designated as "The Blackpool of the Lake District" by my precious, darling wife.

...Come with us... w;;v

...It's a far, far superior (and much less expensive) alternative to travelling all the way to the non-event at "Cata-LUN-ya"...

...Wouldn't you agree...? :neenaw:

...Rhino, I'm suffering from persistent enquiries relating directly to the standards of service currently maintained by the 'Hotel Stop Bellpuig'. These enquiries emanate from my closest friend who is, distantly, of American Indian ancestry; she is known formally, by name, in her native tongue as:

"YaBeddaSortmeaProperBloodyRoomOut"

The above is a tribal name which, directly translated into English from the native tongue, conveys the meaning:

"A-certain-party-who-prefers-heat-food-running-water-and-all-the-comforts-associated-with-irrevocable-decadence"...(the modern, abbreviated translation of this name into English evolves directly and accurately into the title: "wife"

...If there's any way your brother could book us into said Hotel, I fancy I may live to pursue this miserable existence of mine beyond our proposed (and painfully paid-for) vacation with you, Fodder et al, in Spain. :B

(Man to Big Man: If you could get us into 'Hotel Stop Bellpuig' I'd really, really recover my will to live, M8! :h )

****ACCOMODATION****

I need to know exactly what dates from & too inclusive that people want booking ie

10th-- 16th inc, double room en suite blah blah.....

As soon as i know EXACTLY what peeps want i can get them reserved.

...As per my e-mail...

...John, thanks again for all your efforts.

Assuming that we're still making an overnight stop on the trip from Santander to Belpuig, then we'll need a room from 10 June to 16 June inclusive. If your brother could book us a decent, economically priced double room (en suite) that would be great.

Cheers, M8!

Quick update.....

Couldn't get tickets for stand H, ended up within beer can range in stand C next door.

Luxury hotel booked in central Bacelona for a couple of nights (same chain as Sanches!).

Assuming that we are in fact stopping halfway for a night of R&R on the way, should we book something or simply take pot luck?.......thoughts?

As everyone else appears to be stopping in the 'luxury' Hotel Belpuig(?), I may as well stop there on Friday night if possible John, probably saves hassle......
