Paul: any thoughts on staying in Vic? We've been looking around but Lorraine wants to stay in a rural location that's not too far from the track but which is also conveniently placed to allow quite a bit of touring. (She only, ever, demands perfection - is that too much to ask? ) As we've never been to Spain, we're very ignorant of the geography and the economics of the place. The only thing that's certain is that we're going! :yo:

If anyone else out there has any constructive thoughts on accomodation or places to visit - please let us know: all contributions gratefuly accepted! :}

Eric / Fodder, Paul is happy for you all to stay at his BIG house up the road and use the flat for showers etc but he will also find details about the hotel at the top of the village by the end of the week when he returns home.
Either way you'll have a roof over your head even if its not *****

Then, we'll play it by ear as to what happens after that - as we discussed - this is a holiday and we don't want to be cramping anyone's style. OK... have now got all the info at my fingertips (LOL) so where are you all staying as we could book B&B over the internet if we don't leave it too long (and Gatso is coming with us too) and what grandstand have you bought tickets for? As we (3 of us to date) are travelling up from M?laga anyway could some of you give me a clue so I can get on with it, cheers dears.

We are staying in Bellpuig de Urgell just outside Lleida off the N11 approx 70 miles from the track, its a quiet rural village central for some wicked rides into the mountains.

Tickets from From Moto Events. A bit pricey at ?80 but we're in Stand "H" that allows you to see plenty of the course and also has big screens for the bits you can't see.

Tickets range in price from ?48 walk-in to ?80 for a stand ticket. ?32 isn't too much to pay for a bit of additional comfort - and don't forget - that gets you into the circuit for all three days! :}

Just to whet your appetite a little further, go and have a look at the circuit and the views from the different seating areas. Click on the stand that you want to view - then click on "description" in the gray box. You can even zoom in for a closer look! Stand "H" is described as follows:

"The best view of the stadium. Located on the straight before turn New Holland, with an excellent view of the whole stadium and the last turn before going into the main straight. Recommended gate: 2."

Cheers DA.... But your prices are in pounds and mine will be in Euros as I already live in Spain....as Senor Sanches has said he only paid 33 Euros I dont think I could match that price but it hopefully won't be as dear as yours. So stand H is the one to go for then.
Anyway if Rhino comes up with some accomadation it would be handy, if not we will try the internet and see what we can come up with, as we will be staying longer than the week end.
It will be nice to meet you and the other peeps.

The big house has 3 double beds and 2 singles so there may be room for more yet, i shall speak with my Bro hopefully Thurs or Friday night ref the accomodation.
I have some wicked routes to try too if anyone fancies a rideout, but as DA said, its OUR holiday too so there's nothing regimental about it.

Ahhh........OK, I'm back.......

John, a single for Thursday and Friday night in the 'Big House' would be much appreciated m8.........so long as there's no TV cameras!!.......mmmm.....but then again..!

The reason for only two nights is that I promised to show Karen a good time in Barcelona on Saturday and Sunday. She wants to see some sights (apart from me....a bit odd, but hey ho) and have a couple of nights out. She flys into Barcelona on Sat morning so in order to do the above it makes logistical sense to stop in Barcelona on the Sat/Sun night.

Eric, as the above infers, I dont mind running one stint from the ferry to Bellpuig de Urgel (bloody odd name, but then I am a bit ignorant). I'm sure if a fuel up with a big anti-hangover fry and enough pain killers all will be well. However, this is of course assuming that John and Emma want to do the same (i.e. get there the same day!), if not I'm easy and can stop overnight on route.

Just need some tickets in stand H now.........I'll go and knock the cobwebs of my credit card and order some......

Nice one Paul, i'll sort out the 'Big House' and as for the trip in one hit i think its suck it and see. It is a long day and the terrain is classed as mountainous for a majority part but bloody hell its scenic :yo:
