Passed me moped test in 1973 at 16 (I think the laws had recently been changed to restrict what a 16 year old could ride) Did it on a poxy old NSU Quickly that broke down on the way home from the test centre....but I'd passed !!!!

In 1974 took the full bike test on a Honda CD175 (another blue one  ). Passed on the Wednesday.....traded the 175 for a Kawasaki Z1 on the Saturday !!!! :lick:

Almost killed meself countless times in the first three months of ownership !!!

January 1977, on a Honda CB200, on the ice at the local Industrial Estate! Couple of laps, answer one easy question and read a number plate (they are too big in this country anyhow) and Robert is your fathers brother..

i didn`t think they made SUPER Dreams until 1979-80, but did have the Dream ( rounded tank)...that shows my age...
I passed in 1979 on a Yamaha RD125DX........3 trips round the block, miss the examiner when he stepped out for the emergency stop and a quick look at a number plate...hey presto...and all for ?10..............

Got my provisional in 1991 after a few scrapes and a coversation with a man in a funny wig wasn't allowed near a bike (on the road) for a quite a few years. got by thanks to the odd shot of a mates bike and building a chop to keep the interest up.
Finnally went for my test in 2000.
I'd only taken two lessons the instructor wanted me in an hour early to make sure no bad habits would show up. Unfortunately he forgot to tell me to meet him at the test station on the North side of glasgow rather than their shop in the South. :bang:
In to the car for a high speed dash accross the city only realised too late I had overtaken the CID on the inside when they screamed in front of me at the lights and jumped out their car. When they asked me where I was going in such a hurry, it may not have been the best idea to tell them I was late for a driving test
After much appologising (me) and lecturing (them) I made it to the test centre with five minutes to spare and just in time to see the guy before me fail. the omens were not good but prevailed in the end on a 600Diversion. :yo:
Cause I was a student a the time and needed a car for the family I had to wait another two years before getting a bike on the road. After waiting so long I thought I'd treat myself and bought a Harley (cheap insuarance then) couldn't resist the Blackbird when a mate offered it to me.:lick:

1965 on a Lambretta Li 150.... feckin lethal thing looking back. I must have had large balls at the time cos I could corner the damn thing on two wheels and the silencer box or runner boards.
Traded the Li in for a 200sx which some kind tw*t knicked after a fortnight... went out with the insurance money and bought meself a 1966 Triumph T100SS.. still got the bike and hope to have it rebuilt this year.
