Niiiiiice!Another bastard meece in a trap this morning. Took it over the Common, phoned andyBeaker for some cruelty advice, cut its front legs off and watched it wheelie it's way to freedom.
No, the meece. Beaker's too fast, can't catch him. Besides, I don't need to cut his legs off because he doesn't go shitting in my crockery cupboard.Beaker...?
It can be arranged. No, the meece. Beaker's too fast, can't catch him. Besides, I don't need to cut his legs off because he doesn't go shitting in my crockery cupboard.
Anything jam/butter/cheese/cake/biscuit will do. Presumably a bit of electric cable as well as they seem to like that.I am disappointed to have to mention that once more my trap was left untouched despite nice fresh peanuts. I don’t want to use my Marmite peanut butter in case they don’t appreciate it, so I’ll get a jar of normal peanut butter with the weekly shopping.
Do they prefer smooth or crunchy?
Even better if it's still plugged in!Presumably a bit of electric cable as well as they seem to like that.
The cat is using them as bait so it can see if your house is a viable alternative for it to liveBought a bunch (8) mouse traps.
Set a couple in the garage, I think that's where they're getting in from.
I'll wait until later for the rest as the cat from next door was waiting on the doorstep when we got back.
Letting the cat have a roam around the house, if a mouse moves he'll have it
Mice love expanding foam.Mrs P has blocked every little gap she can find with expanding foam. She‘so taken the vents off and put a meece-proof wire mesh behind each one and she’s replaced two vents. We’ve not had a problem since. Yet.
+1.Mice love expanding foam.

We tried steel wool and the little shits chewed through it.Pest control advice is steel wool and quick setting concrete, apparently it's the only stuff they can't chew through
Crushed glass in the render is quite effective I believe. Time to smash a few wine bottles in the mix.We tried steel wool and the little shits chewed through it.
The expanding foam is a temporary measure to see if we’ve found every access point. Mrs P will mix up some cement and render and fill the gaps proper when the rain warms up a bit.
