Crushed glass in the render is quite effective I believe. Time to smash a few wine bottles in the mix.
Mrs P phoned andyBeaker and he told her razor blades were the way forward. Saw three meeces this morning with their lower jaws missing.

So much for spotting them early - wishful thinking.

One more caught in the house and two in the garage.

Think I'll get a few more traps!!

Reading up it suggests the reproduction is roughly monthly and they live around 9-12 mths.

I'll keep putting the traps out until we get at least a month without any :(

When you find their path lay some rubber matting down, then lay some electric fencing on it, connect it to an energiser & leisure battery & fry the bastards

Don’t forget that baby mice can reproduce at six weeks & they can have mahoosive litters, virtually guarantee that they’ve been breeding a while before you spotted them, could be hundreds of the little twats

Somewhere on you tube there is a video of a homemade trap, basically a tall bucket with a swinging trap door lid, once the little bastards are in they cant get out and you can deal with them at your leisure

Drill holes both ends of coke cans, thread a dowling through leaving space either end, smother cans in chocolate spread, half fill a bucket with water & place the coke cans on top, put a ramp up to the cans & put chocolate on the ramp, the little bastards will think they’re on gladiator but the cans will spin them into the water.

Been darn sarf for mum's 91st birthday, just got back home o_O

Reset all the traps and left them in various spots before going.

Not checked the garage but none of the house traps have anything. Seems to have reassured the missis so I should now be able to get some sleep.

I'll still get some more traps, they're cheap as chips.
Plan to keep putting them out for two months before I'll start to believe we've won :)
