Still kickin' it!
I've got a Tony Archer seat with gel pads in it, second hand from flea-Bay (a few weeks old, poor sod had crashed and managed to salvage the seat) and only a few miles away.
Highly recommended.

I've got LED lamps in mine- not had any problem for the last few years at MOT time.
Well - it might be that the next one will be the one where ya get a knock-back.
I was gonna take mine "as is" with the HIDs in but lockdown came along. Still not sure whether to err on the right side by returning to standard. No biggie, but if anyone else out there has had their bike pass MoT with HIDs in very, very recently, please let us know.

Not listing all my previous bikes but I started with a new Suzuki TS100 in 1980
Second new bike was a Kawasaki ZX6R in 2000

First & only Bird was a 98 Carbie in red, first registered in 99.
First job was to take it back as it was running rough. The dealer had it a week & said they couldn't find anything wrong with it, but on the way home after warming up, it ran rough. Took tank off & found the choke cable was incorrectly routed, so I was riding round with the choke on.
Next job, new tyres, new CCT and a full service (even though it was bought from the now defunct Midland Superbikes). closely followed by a 6mm spacer, double bubble screen & a touring seat.
Sadly wrote it off after 12 years of ownership.

Now own a 2006 Triumph Tiger 955i
2005 Triumph Tiger 955i
1993 Triumph Trophy 1200
1989 Honda CB-1

Hydraulic rear brake light

That brake light intrigues me

As for the colours, I recall that for some reason the blue ones always appeared to end up in Wales........ I'm sure there was another connotation attached to the blue ones as well.

To give you a clue multiple bikes off road from the age of about 13, I used to buy them, fix them, rag them around the pit banks until they were knackered then throw them away, someone today would love all those knackered bantams, honda CB/CD's & all the other shite I had

First year legal (ish) on the road & that's as far as I am going ok? ……………...
H100s brand new on my 17th birthday (1979)
Within 6 months traded that for a brand new Z250 scorpion
Then got my eyes opened to the wonder of a GS1000 within a month I had 1979 GS1000s, within 3 months I had 2 more & a 750 & a 550 & still had the 250

It continues on in that vein until recently, in my old house I had space for 6 or 7 bikes so that's what I had all the time & I lived there for 22 years so you can imagine :) the last 3 or 4 years I have had room for maybe 3 bikes so that's what I had, now I have none & its killing me slowly :(

Last I knew the regs don't mention LED so can't be failed for it.
Besides which, my MOT man is sensible.

Long story short, the 2006 Tiger is currently my go to bike, the 2005 needs a new clutch & is my green lane bike, the Trophy is part way through a resto and the CB-1 is in bits having just sprayed the frame. Too many projects, too little time (working from home).

I miss it like mad DA its part of my whole being but I started to struggle when I had the bird, by the time I got that out of the shed I was already hurting, I bought a 650 bandit thinking its light & could be fun but I was thrashing it to death as i'm not good at restraint :)

I have had thoughts of a trail bike just to keep the wheels turning (literally & in my head) but i'm not sure I could live with slow & its money I don't really have for a toy

No suprises really... OEM one was playing up again so removed it..... replaced banjo bolt on rear master cylinder with one that has a brake light switch incorperated into it ...... simple wiring job..
No more adjusting no more filling up with crap, salt ,water, ect.
Its been on 5 yrs or more and never giver any problems.

Read what you've written - then follow the advice that comes into your head after you've thought about it for a few days.

Numerous lesser bikes 1974-2006 followed by

First Birdy a mint 18000 miler 1999 model purchased in 2006 from a chief fire officer in Brighouse. It was mint, it was Candy Phoenix Blue and I loved it....But detected a noise from the clutch, paid £100 deposit and said I would be back tomoz after I had listened to my mates newer one. Picked it up the following day and never looked back (sept shoulder checks:rolleyes:).
Loom fix, valve clearances check & general maintenance
Written off at 76000 miles in 2013

Replaced with Silver Fazer Thou (still got it)

Joined by a
2000 Blue Birdy in 2014 with 42000 miles already on it. Still got this bike too but its now red and black.
Loom fix, valve clearances check, fork seals
throttle bodies cleaned and synced idle jets
+ general maintenance

Only bike where I have bought the same again
