Well, I HAD a Blackbird, wasn't a very good one, but as I knew next to nothing about them, I joined this site. With the help and support from some of the peeps here, I got it sorted, but lost the Bird in the process.
At that time, I enjoyed the forums and the banter, but not so much these days, unfortunately, but I suspect that is my problem, and not that of the forum(s).
But that is mostly down to not having a Bird anymore, so aside from having a whinge occasionally about car break-ins and the like, I don't have :
any Bird related queries to ask (why would I need to?),
any Bird related problems that need sorting, been there, done that,
but does the fact that I don't have a Bird any longer mean I cannot hang around in the background? If it decided that only current Bird owners are able to participate, then I'll be off, say bye bye and move on.
I've had the sometimes dubious pleasure of meeting some of the peeps here, and are generally a good bunch ('cept Rhino, cos he's a bully!!)
Some of the recent threads where things appeared to get a bit out of hand at times, did piss me off a bit, but then I realised the problem is mine not the combatants!
If they want to spend all evening slagging each other off, hey, get on with it, no-one is forcing me to read the relevant threads. Same with Lumpy banging on about zero posters (soz Lumpy to single you out, just springs to mind at the moment), so what, if he wants to keep saying the same thing, let him get on with it, don't have to read it.
As I said at the beginning of the year, I'll not be around as much, but if the BIRD goes current bird riders only, then so be it.
