When you realise that the Catholic church (i.e Vatican) has gotten hold of the dead seas scrolls and won't let them go, maybe there is a conspiracy.

Some of the known facts that came out of that are directly in conflict with present day teachings that are taken from the Bible. Before the catholic church claimed for themselves and now won't let them go.

They don't want that.

The church has had so much power over the centuries, capitalising on people's fears ..... control.

Losing it means losing the money.

I was informed sometime ago (I think around 1962) that the Catholic church in Ireland took a percentage of EVERYONE'S wages no matter how little they earned. This is throughout the ages.

Even the Mafia wouldn't do that.

The Nag Hamadi Codices are only an indicator.

Just had a quick look on Wiki about the Dead Sea Scrolls, didn't mention anything about them being held in the Vatican - or is that part of the conspiracy.

As for the Catholic church messing it up they are not alone, my minister shared a conversation he had with a friend who said that the three times he has been stitched up in business it was by a Christian (not the same one); the world is full of bad apples.

Christians don't claim to be perfect, just saved. The foundation of the Christian message is that Jesus lived, died and then rose again, it's that he lives is the important bit. Paul wrote that the greater the transgression the greater the grace but that does not mean we can keep going on sinning. He also writes of his own struggles, he who had the Damascus road experience. Peter denied Christ three times, not then really a shock that people find it dificult to live the perfect life that non-Christians think we profess of ourselves.

I was having a conversation with a christian colleague & I asked him "if a person who had never harmed anybody, donated to charity & helped people out whenever he could died, would he go to heaven" the reply was "only if he'd accepted God & repented his sins" I then pointed out the scum that we work with & asked "What about these repeat offenders who have always taken & never contributed & have no regard for other human beings, suppose they repented on their death bed?" he told me they would go to heaven, he was a bit shell shocked when I said "So you are telling me that heaven is full of paedo's, rapists, & murderers & all the good people go to hell, I don't think I want to go to heaven then"

I've lost my 3 month old baby Alana on 2nd October last fortnight and I dont know how life will be for me & my wife Rein anymore. While she was my little baby, she was already our happiness, our everything. Whats for sure is my faith in things is shaken, nothing really is that big/ critical/ worth fearing anymore. Whether or not God exists is the last question I seek an answer to & hope it stays that way.
I do hope he/she/it does not exist.

So sorry for your loss, I cannot begin to know how you feel only to say that I know I would be devastated if I were to lose a child, I imagine I would be angry at the World & I know my life would never be the same again.

The question still stands, loosing an infant is heatbreaking but do you expect some free pass until you are say 24 or what ever arbitary age that a parent may not be completely devistated.

I can tell you, as I guess most parents would agree, I would be devastated at ANY age if my lads were harmed or died. I reckon it would be difficult for me to recover from that at all. Ther eis no fucking God, all religion, while based on happenings is fictional and designed as a crutch for people that cannot believe in themselves or are blackmailed into religion.

It's used as excuses for everything from wars to shagging, or not.

It's as corrupt as fuck, but also rich in the main.

jesus was according to some a conman, one of many at that time, word is that there was 7 others at the time claiming to be the son of god, yet his team made the most noise and he was the only one who was nailed to a cross.

the missing testaments from the bible are said to be locked away under the popes arse, the testament of mary the hooker and of simon i think it was, both indeed are supposed to of stated that jesus and mary were married and indeed did have kids. they also are supposed to tell of the brothers and sisters of jesus, but until the pope and his cronies release them and everything else they have collected over the yrs we will never know.

Surely one of the gods has left total proof that they exist? but until this proof is shared then they never will have of. Of course the proof will not come out because the rules and beliefs have been changed etc, rome 4 century springs to mind, when much of the bible was rewritten and pages removed by all accounts.

one of the commandments is do not worship false gods or something like that, yet in every church there is a bloke on a cross. who is/was a god, maybe the likeness is of the son of a god but it aint god.

there are black madonnas, virgin marys as white as snow, all false yet all worshiped.

it doesnt bother me that peeps need to want to belief in some greater good or whatever, but please proof it to me first or dont bother shoving it down my throat, My roman catholic wife cant explain it to me, the penguins at the church ignore me now, yet the retired priest was the only one who just smiled and said believe in what you will as he can not give me physical proof.

In times of war and great hardship, followers of god turn towards god once again to gain some inner strength, to me that is great that they can find something to give them that, but if it is so good for them then, but then they leave the flock again when things are better what sort of person are they then?? swallow?? selfish??

god does not exists, but gods might.
