Watched tv without the benefit of a decent AV system or sound bar for the first time in years.

Amazing how crap the sound from the tv speakers is.

Even a cheap sound bar will improve the tv experience exponentially.

Oh dear oh dear!

The correct terminology for those originating in London and the Home Counties (also those who wish to be part of civilised society) is

1. Breakfast
2. Lunch
3. Tea
4. Dinner
5. Supper

Those from the western colonies have an uncouth tendency to substitute 1 & 2 with a lazy concoction termed Brunch.

Some pretentious souls try to call lunch dinner and then attempt to recover by renaming Tea as High Tea and Supper becoming Late Supper.

The fact is that Dinner is the main meal of the day and should be followed by a period of rest and relaxation.

We are not Mediterranean and do not have a siesta, so the main meal is in the evening.

In order to not get hungry during the night it is acceptable to have a light snack (supper) before bed time until one breaks ones fast in the morning with Breakfast!

Breakfast, main meal of the day, doesn’t need to be substantial just something to kick start your digestive system.
Dinner, substantial meal to last until tea time.
Tea, nothing too heavy as you need a few hours for it to digest.
Supper is optional & usually enjoyed by greedy twats who also had a massive tea.

Got wound up again over the insurance claim.

Asbestos removal people have been in for the last two days and done a brilliant job, albeit seven weeks after the incident.

tried to book the builders that are doing the further strip out and renovation……we are now told that the surveyor from the building company needs to come in again and certify that the site is clear of asbestos (which is understandable)…and he can’t come in until June 9. Apparently IF everyone had done their job properly he SHOULD have been booked to come in the day after the asbestos people left.

The building company will not book the job without the surveyors approval so that is another two weeks delay before the 8 to 10 weeks lead in time for the builder even starts.

Nobody joining the dots together And we are suffering as a result.

Our ‘dedicated claims manager’ is off on holiday until Monday…he is going to wish he was still on holiday when he gets back.

Diagnosed a dodgy coil on a mates bike and replaced it with one from by box of bits (correct amp range), put a junior air rifle together for the little one but it's still a bit hard for her to cock so tomorrows job will be reducing the power a little and softening the cocking cycle a lot

Rebuilt my Frankenstein rifle fitted a classic Tasco scope, just waiting for the recoil pads for both of those guns then its on to the next thing (whatever that may be)

Cut the lawn and avoided the enemy as usual
