Glad someone's bodily functions are returning to normal, quite jealous actually as mine have been water down a drain for the last two days, without putting too fine a point on it farting is out of the question
I've been shitting through the eye of a needle for the past couple of days but farting is certainly not off the agenda!

Golf all on my own, seven a.m kick off, glorious weather and didn’t see a soul until I was playing the eighth. Perfect.

Shot 80, well chuffed with that, three birdies (one incredibly fortuitous ) , long term target of breaking 80 missed by three doubles. So near yet so far….

Last week I phoned up my localish Ford garage to book my car in for a service and MOT (apparently it needs a 40000 mile service even though it's only done 18000 miles :nusenuse: ) I asked how much it would cost to update my satnav system they said they would call me back. A week later I phoned again and asked the same question this time I was told it would cost £150 to do, my reply I can buy a new satnav from Halfords for less, so its a no go.

The question is can anyone recommend a cheap updateable sat nav

A few years ago Seat were looking for €250 to update sat nav in car.

Google maps was so much easier to use anyway.

Does your satnav work off a disc or is it an "over the air" update?

Worth googling for Ford satnav updates.
I was able to get updated discs via eBay for my Renault years ago

Otherwise go Google maps :)

As Duck n Dive says it could be you can update via interwebs…..doEd the car have Wi-Fi connectivity/ do you have a an app for your car? only done mine once (get free updates every service at the moment) but I think it was downloaded onto my phone then transferred to the car).

I haven’t had a stand-alone satnav for yonks but Garmin always worked well for me.

Googled it and apparently If i did it myself i have to go on the Ford site put in my VIN download onto a memory stick then sit with the car running whilst it downloads onto the car, my WIFI isn't that reliable and I'm not that tech savvy

You might be able to find a local independent Ford specialist who could do it for you - probably a lot cheaper than ford.

With my Renault I found out it was the same unit that mercedes used. Local mercedes dealer wanted over £200 for the update disc, got one on eBay for £30 (as the service chap at mercedes suggested) :)

I am now back at home being waited on hand and foot once more. Well I will be when she gets started

and have successfully emptied the bowels twice since I listed earlier. Must be the Senocot I have to take?

I’m home!
