Pain in the arse alright, I took the scaffolding off mine at the weekend (stupidly on my own) and nearly scratched the rear panels. What light did you go for? Am thinking of fitting a clear led unit myself.

dont get the cheapo ones from you know where been there done that, only lasted couple of months. have since got hold of a FI undertray and light. Had wiring adapter made up by guy in swindon for my carb so is ready for when I can afford the XX clear tail from jaws.

Cheers for that, reckon I will go for the Jaws one now, looks great @tu*

Fair play on the FI undertray conversion - very innovative and the XX fitting looks the dogs nads IMO :yo:

Was putting in a bling LED XX one instead on my clear rear with LED 'bulbs'.

I know it'll wind my mates up when we go off to Germany in a few weeks ;-)

Today I rode my Bird.

I'm ashamed to say that I have ridden 8 miles on the 'Bird from November 4th ( when the first salt was put down) until today.
During that time I have ridden the GS 1150 as I don't give a fekk about it's looks anyrode. Again, during that time I have thoroughly enjoyed the GS; everything about it has been a "hoot".

Today, I was out in the Peak District on the GS; having great fun and I thought to myself, " just taxed the Bird, she's in the garage primed and ready...but will I ever be arsed to ride her again as I do like this GS and the type of riding :dunno:"
Well, the weather was cracking all afternoon so when I got home I thought "fekk it, I'll take the Bird out."

Nice and steady just to get her juices flowing and up around the Snake and the dams. Hoooo Fekkkin Haaaaa Whhooooooo Fooookin Hooooo Hoooo Heeeee Haaaaaa Shit me Betty Fook. Blew me away!!!!.
Fekkin attack mode...Christ Almighty how can she pull like that with the engine turned off,....turned off??? Music turned off to see if I can hear the engine...I fekkin can't cos of the wind in my helmet. It's like a bloody veye dio game innit.

Jezus wept get outta my way everyone.

LOL all the way and singing "Rawhide" today. Fekk it's good to be back.

Oh yea, then had to stop and pose ....it'd be spiteful and rude not to wouldn't it.

Sweet looking machine, same colour as mine.

Interested in some details about that tank cover, looks great and nearly the same colour as the bike.

Savage scenery you got over there btw @tu*

I have done bits and pieces over the past month or so, changed fork oil/brake pads, fitted some lovely new levers....the cheap but ever so nice one's from china that turned up wrapped in red ribbon as a 'gift' which made me chuckle and fitted John's flat bar conversion. I also bought a new lid which I fitted speakers to for the first time ever and i'm now like a pig in poo, what a difference a really good fitting bash hat makes!

I always cursed the bike a little as I wasn't wholly comfortable on it but now I thoroughly enjoy it and have to thank ianrobbo for twisting my arm just that little bit more and helping me make my mind up with the flat bars.....bike was definitely being sold until they were fitted so i've gone from calling her a 'bastid piece of shit' every time I crawled off to patting her on the tank and smiling smugly to myself @tu* I really am smitten with the old girl now, shame she 'aint black but still......l

Fitted my suspension spacer and clear led tail light from Jaws - savage looking on the bike and simple to fit, cheers John @tu*

Had a set of spare indys off my old SV so fitted them too to complete the job. Those led bulbs we were chatting about on another thread arrived yesterday from the far east so I stuck them in also. They work well and an easy fit too, lets wait and see how them perform over the long term.

All I need now is the Microns I bought from EVSSV (cheers sir) to arrive in the post and I can go play - roll on the weekend :yo:

just spent over £400 on parts from jaws so when they come will have a go at fitting most of it.

Yesterday fitted the 99p LED indicator lights that were shown on here few days ago.
Came from sinapore. When fitted I had to swop the wiring round as polarity was not correct as per the birds wiring, thus orange went to green and green to orange on the left front indicator. They work fine.

Moved it from 1 side of the garage to the other, as it was in the way, and stopped me getting at some of my gardening tools.

Might go and give it a wash before going to the thundersprint tomorrow - or might not bother and just ride it dirty!

Not done anything to it all week other than ride it - been a bit wet and windy at times, but fun.

Ah, tell a lie ... I did do something to it this week ... put petrol in it, and lubed the chain. :-0)
