Noobie, Noobie, Noobie, my dear friend, I can see you're challenged by my views. So let me try and explain in a way that you can understand.
I personalyl feel that most of the regular posters on here are a bunch of bigoted wankers, (yes you as well). However, and here is the important point, although this is a motorcycle related site, I don't feel that you all represent motorcyclist. In fact whilst it is a honda blackbird site, I don't even feel you all represent blackbird owners. You're just a few narrow minded bigots. In the same way I don't feel that I.S represents Muslims. They are just a group of murdering evil bigoted wankers. Much like the regular bigoted posters on here.
I hope this helps.

It helps no end. If a member of your family is unlucky enough to stop an Islamic bullet, may I be the first to welcome you to the bigot's club.
Non of us are immune from this evil so stop defending it. I sincerely hope you are never affected as others have been.

Freedom of speech? You try standing on a street corner spouting death and destruction and your feet wont touch the ground. Unlike a certain hook handed Muslim.

I suggest there was an understanding failure on your part there ....

At no point did I say ALL Muslims were terrorists, In fact I said quite the opposite I have a couple of friends who follow that religion & they appear to be genuine peace loving folk but they do freely admit that there are those within their community who know who the radicals are & still do nothing.... not a stereotype ...FACT

Both my friends say they try to root out the evil bastards within their community but the elders stop them from doing so to the point that one is banned from his local mosque & now has to travel 5+ miles to worship instead of across the road ...FACT

Followers of Islam are causing death & destruction across the world ...FACT

I'm a tolerant person who has simply reached his limit with the few murdering scum within the Islamic religion, I don't know what the solution is but feel one needs finding soon & really don't care if anyone likes that opinion or not :-0)

Wow, that first sentence is patronising.

To be equAlly patronising in return, maybe the form of words you used did not convey what you were trying to say?

I'm afraid the 'I have Muslim friends' stuff doesn't work for me. Nor does being told FACTS - I am capable of forming my own opinions. In this case that it is the acts of a few that is tainting the many.

It is a pity that the original post which was about the virtue, in my opinion, of Ramadan was immediately used as a soapbox.

I assume I am one of those bigoted wankers you refer to.
To be bigoted I would have to be single minded & intolerant of all religions but my own.
As I have stated many times, I had religion drilled into me as a kid but even at a young age I could see the hypocrisy & as soon as I was old enough to make my own choices I chose no religion.
Religion in itself may be a good thing but it's followers seldom are, I will tolerate any religous person as long as the don't knock on my door & try to convert me & as long as they are peaceful & undemanding.
I don't see any Christians or Jews going to Muslim countries & asking to build churches or synagogues etc, why is that?
We do not want Sharia law in this country yet many Muslims do, just look at the banners held by the many street protesters.

A couple of months back there was a documentary following a group of racist pro Britains, I started out thinking "what a bunch of ignorant thugs" at the end I was believing much of what they were saying, specially when a group of Muslims leaving a Mosque declared "your children will be Muslims & your Grandchildren will be Muslims"
These are your peaceful law abiding Muslims just leaving their prayer meeting.
As I said "tolerance" don't make me laugh.

And you think non Muslims would get away with what he did for years, do you? How much are you being paid to water down what's going on.
For the record, I'm not a bigot and I'm not your mate.

interesting thread @tu*

I don't have any faith i don't believe in an afterlife or a God, religion of any persuasion is just a tool that allows gangsters who run these religious institutions to control people and impose their will on them, it becomes twisted and perverse all religious groups are ultimately corrupt morally, socially financially.

If this lot didn't have a religion to pin their warped views on it would be something else, football comes a close second it allows people to pin violence on a cause.

To be begoted doesn't have to mean intolerant of all religion, but can apply to someone intolerant of a specific religion.

As I have stated many times, I had religion drilled into me as a kid but even at a young age I could see the hypocrisy & as soon as I was old enough to make my own choices I chose no religion.

Ironically I had a similar experience, and made similar choice.

Jews went to Palestine and not only built synagogues, but took over the bes part of the country, called it Israel, pushed the Palistinians onto two useless pieces of land, then called the Palistinians terrorist for fighting for their land
Please don't get me started on the history of Christians taking over countries, there is not one continent that Christians have not taken over and imposed its views.

We do not want Sharia law in this country yet many Muslims do, just look at the banners held by the many street protesters

They're not asking you or I to live by Sharia Law, they are asking in part that they resolve their day to day issues, with Sharia Law. I would have thought that most of you would welcome that, as it means that the HM courts are less stressed, and therefore less of a burden on the Tax Payer. Win win?
.

Seems that if racism is just below the surface, a little push will help it reappear. As for your children and grandchildren, why not trust them to make their own choices, much like you did.

These are your peaceful law abiding Muslims just leaving their prayer meeting.
As I said "tolerance" don't make me laugh.

All of them chanting, or just a few hot headed kids, responding to a group of racist, waiting to antagonise them?
Andy started this thread, saying that there maybe some good things to draw from Ramadan. If we want to stop extremist on both sides of the fence, then we need to get together and understand each other. After all non of us come from perfect systems.

Wow, that first sentence is patronising.
Not intended to be & its unfortunate you see it that way

To be equAlly patronising in return, maybe the form of words you used did not convey what you were trying to say?
Maybe true it is difficult to convey intent across the net

I'm afraid the 'I have Muslim friends' stuff doesn't work for me.
yet you can use the same sort of comment in your posts to support you view

Nor does being told FACTS -
The facts are there for all to see if you just take your head out of the sand

I am capable of forming my own opinions. In this case that it is the acts of a few that is tainting the many.
You are entitled to an opinion however wrong it may be in my view, yes its a few that are causing all the death & destruction but the community could do something about it but don't

It is a pity that the original post which was about the virtue, in my opinion, of Ramadan was immediately used as a soapbox.
I am sure there are virtues to religious belief or practice for some people but recent events far outweigh those in the view of many, myself included

I'm sure that if we knew each other in person and not just on here, we would be friends but with different views.

This is the major disadvantage of the 'net, it's 2 dimensional, while real life is 3.

My thoughts exactly, I tend to like people with strong views & the conviction to stick to them weather I agree with those views or not @tu*
