Relative newbie on here, but had a lurk prior to getting involved it gives you a sense of what the forums about. New at the start that posts would get sarcastic smart arse remarks, but could see that genuine requests for help would be heeded as well.

Biker V Motorcyclist, I can see some of Lumpys argument here, it tends to be that there are many middle class middle aged bikers nowadays as opposed to working class middle aged bikers, that may not have shared in the banter of the forces, workshop, prison, housing estate etc so may be easily offended.

Two weeks ago at the Welly in Tyndrum, it was like a meeting of the local Rotary Club on two wheels, all brand new beemers and cravats, looking down there noses at anyone that had a number plate less than a 60 plate.
Recently there has been a bit of the I am a real tuffy biker but you,re not, on here- but does anyone care

Me - I can take the banter, and the pish dished out by keyboard warriors.
would agree if you dish it out, you need to take it back, though can see where John is coming from, some people dipping there toes in might not be ready to get the piss taken out of them.

Warning about the rottweilers and telling them to expect the worst IMHO

Please don't bring Rotties into this, they are a wonderful friendly breed, it is bad owners that turn them viscious, anybody who slags [please don't change it to "shags"] Rotties is a Motorcyclist, not a biker :-0)

My son has 2 dawgs, a german shepard cross staffie and he has a rottie, both are around children all day and are well behaved and trained. Agree with your comments DK.. its not the dogs its the owners that are at fault. With my sons dogs you're more likely to be licked to death than bitten.

My daughter babysits a pit bull as the owners have no children and my daughter has 3 children aged 4 to 13, the owner of the dog is a vet. The dog now loves to play with the children, it really has little choice... but it has worked wonders in the dog... the dog is no longer frightened of children.

my parents used to have 2 huge male dobies. They used to fight all time and were always getting stiched up by my dad. They would kill any other dog they got hold off and once brought down a deer in scotland.
HOWEVER
the first time I saw I thought shit I'm nervous. My 2 year old daughter went to the real coal fire as she had never seen one and there was no guard on it. It was one of these huge walk in fire places. One of the dogs jumped out of its bed and squeezed between my daughter and the fire and kept trying to herd her away. The dog was all scorched and singed down one side.

would that be your English Grammar tutor? If it is, sack him, he's not teaching you properly.

Says the man who conjugates the verb to be and comes up with "you am".
