oil change dilemna

Mental math tells me I have done maybe 18 or 19 oil and filter changes on the two Birds I have owned.

New filter every time and Halford own brand semi synth = no problems.

why go looking for trouble:dunno:

Halfords use comma oils, comma obviously have to meet spec

I might be wrong, but I think that it what a certain well known fish like Bird fettler uses when services are done.....

I find the Halford stuff fine - still has a tinge of the red coulour and viscocity after 8k miles, rather than watery black stuff I used to get out of my 73 Hillman Avenger.

Does the Castrol Power 10 40 semi have anything over the Halfords oil other than being more expensive? My Bird came with a recent oil service and is currently running the Castrol Power so it will be a while before a change is due.
