And so tonight………………………..

after a lot of discussion, I got my marching orders. They’ve filled a bag with pills and sent me home.

I will need a double bypass as a planned operation in a couple of months once my meds for the stent has settled down, apparently they don’t mix very well and a stroke is a possibility.

so it looks like you’re stuck with me a while longer. Sorry.

Good to know how the light at the end of the tunnel will be achieved along with the timeline mate. you’ll be a lot more comfortable at home in familiar surroundings just don’t go doing anything too demanding. Give miss Molly a back scratch from me(y).

Glad you are well enough to go home mate and best wishes for your recovery and for the upcoming op

"Double bypass" has always struck me as an odd term .... yes I do know what it means but I have always thought it a strange use of the English language, I suppose there is a reason for the term but i have never quite figured out what it is :nusenuse:

You might want to alert the hospital about the cheque I sent you…..
I heard it bounced all the way back again.

perhaps I can start a gofundme thing - the Nuffield has just told me my op will be c.£25k when I get it done.

And to add a touch more to the unpleasantness - I’m not allowed to drive.

Effective from the date of my op I am not permitted to drive for one month.

If I’d had a stent and no more work planned then it’s a week and that I’ve served already.

But as I had a stent and more work planned it’s the full 28 days.

I won’t mention driving to the surgery, pharmacy and then the park for walkies ;)

Would love to Simon, but only if you’re up to coping with visitors mate.
Absolutely. However as memsahib is clinically vulnerable we may have to adjourn into the motorhome for a chat.

They didn't mention riding though, I'll bet..... unless you were daft enough to say. :eusa_whistle:
