Its weird.. seems to be regional what treatment they go for.. Around here the biggy is a pace maker.. Lost count of folk I know that have one fitted !
Fine if you’ve got the open roads and motorways to drive the blood through at a decent speed - mine have got lots of potholes and obstructions to clear out of the way first :risas3:

Good job it's not a brain transplant then. It'd be like jelly by the time it got to you. :risas3:

Interestingly, well it is to me, I’ve seen quite a lot of heart patients here in the CCU, but I have not seen anybody hooked up to their own monitor like wot I am.

Clearly it is linked to the reception area, as it has caused a response on at least 6 occasions when either a lead has fallen off or the batteries have failed. I think the big spike in the picture was when I knocked it, no one has come to check 2954EEC9-F522-4160-8627-743C66DE43C3.jpeg

I’ve just had a visit by the doctor if the day to check my vitals, and my breathing as I’m a bit chesty and they’d like a sputum sample.
And in the subject of being a bit chesty - yes PL, she fitted the bill nicely. No way too big, but an appreciable handful on a dainty frame. Whew, up goes my BP once more ;)

That device looks like the NHS version of a power commander three mate. Did all the whistles and bells go off when that doctor leant over you? ;)

It's just a thought, but it might help with our calibration if PowLo could place Barbara Windsor (for example) on his "how big?" scale.

It only needs a too small, too big or just right.

After I had my back surgery I had an episode where my heart rate would randomly drop to about 30bps, so the missus drove me to A&E.

After a few hours and much faffing about by an A&E locum doctor (who was going to discharge me because they were about to breach the time limit on whether to admit me or not) my missus threatened to report him if he didn't take it seriously....so I got dumped on a side ward where they hooked me up to The Machine That Goes Ping.

Everytime my heart rate dropped through the floor The Machine That Goes Ping would, well go ping.......a lot. Eventually they got so fed with of the noise that a nurse came and turned off the audio alarm.

Feckin' charming.

I know how she felt, we’d like to shut up your pinging every so often :risas3:

Today’s version of the BP takers is a student nurse, she’s very tiny, very pretty, possibly only 19/20 or so. She’s a delight to talk to, and of course we’ve been looking at pictures of miss Molly and then her fur babies, a pair of Cocker Spaniels. It was nice to pass some time not worrying about what’s happening around me - it was a form of treatment that you don’t expect on the NHS. Of course it also helps that a pretty young thing wants to stop and talk to me and not hurry away.

Those figures don't look right.
Have you considered an ECU remap?
Power commander?
From your recent description, sounds
like a new baffle in your exhaust pipe would help.

Nope, I think a decat and a remap at the very least. I’m not a fan of the Power Commander they can go wrong too easily, it’s better these days to go for a full dyno remap. I’ve been backfiring a lot

Nope, I think it’s relevant stating she’s very tiny and pretty to sum up that situation.
