Reminds me of when I went to the doctors years ago with really sore ribS. She told me I had managed to dislodge a rib and I had a choice of going to hospital or letting her sort it out. One hefty smack later I was fixed.

It really,,really hurt though!

Not sure I would get the same treatment these days....

Taking next doors cat to the vets to be put to sleep
Not having the heart to tell the distraught elderly owner that the bill was £111....think I'm going to have to suck that one up!!

It was absolutely the right thing - I and others have been gently cajoling the owner in this direction for quite a few months....she believed the cat was 24 (amazing if true) so it had a pretty decent innings. Still horrible see her so upset.

I heard that was the way to castrate animals, and apparently if you do it right it doesn’t hurt.
