Well... I received a cheque for total loss of the 'Bird' i.e. written off, but I still have
the bike & it ain't going anywhere anytime soon or later for that matter.
Both lower panels to repair + left hand
mirror cover + new genny cover.
Interestingly I received a follow up letter
from the 3rd party insurers asking if any
other claims need addressing then please get in touch, so I emailed them last night stating a request for a new lid and phone.
Watch this space.

Sounds like a bit of a result. Will the pay off cover all repairs with a healthy wad spare? If so, proper touch sir!
Yarp. I've managed to emerge out of the
barrel of tits without sucking my own thumb for a change.
Just remember the value of the bike will now be lower even when repaired as it will be on the register i hope you have taken this into account when accepting the payment?

E-mail sent to request claim for a new lid and phone.
Reply was, we cannot be seen to negotiate direct & you must file the claim through your file manager as stated in your policy.
Is that why did you dealt with me directly when you sent the cheque then?
Duly contacted my 'file manager' & sent
proof of purchase for the lid. They asked for photos of damage, no damage to external, but the internal foam padding has been compromised. They agreed that the lid is a one shot product and is not reusable.
Now I get another email via 3rd parties
insurance asking for photo's of damage and receipts.... Errrrrm I've already done that as you requested via my file manager.
How can I show the damage to the inside of the lid?
