Due to a cancallation on the Assen trip,, I had to cancal a Double room at the Holiday Inn Calais,,,,,, now I am afraid we DON'T get group discount rates :bang: ,, (copy of e- mail I received from Christophe below)
So anyone out there want to come to Assen,,,,,, Ferry & Hotels are booked,, Ferry is even paid for,,,,,,,, come on you know you want to??
E mail Me or Jon please,, with Names, bike reg etc.

If you cancel a room, you will have 13 rooms : The group rates do not apply anymore for 13 rooms (look at my e-mail from 21st November 03) : the rate becomes 115 Euro B&B including the city tax per room (single, double or twin).
Please let us know which room you do not need anymore, therefore we can cancel it.

At the moment, we have 14 rooms booked at the group rate B&B. 8 places for the motorbikes are booked too.
Is that still OK ?

Looks like we're grounded
Looks like all thoughts of Assen in June are in serious doubt. Other half had an accident on Saturday doing some off road training. One large white van on the middle of a field and what does she hit..................... the bloody van.
She's now at the hospital and they have confirmed a broken knuckle and split bone in the finger. There are bits of bone floating around in the finger and they may need to operate as well. Looks like she won't be able to ride for 6 to 8 weeks.
I suppose that means I'll just have to take her CBR600 out for the odd thrash around the dales - just to make sure the bike is OK of course.

If we can't make this year, then we'll have to get our names down early for next year. She's had enough of being pillion and will only want to go on her own bike now she's passed her test.
If we can get over, then I'll let you know. Looks like it will all have to be last minute booking - no point in pre-booking if she can't ride.

Yo peeps, well its only 5 weeks to the Assen party. All the issues about the Tee's have been resolved and you should have had your order forms via email.. Cheques made payable to Fatbert, his details are on the form. The Friday meal is sorted and an email will be sent to Ruud at the hotel this weekend. After the bash I will mail people about the basics. What we need to take and reminders. Most of you will think its trivial information but if it helps those who have not done this type of trip before have a good time it will be worth it.
Reefer as you may know was unable to make the trip. His Friday crossing was taken by Shaun riding an R1 - god help him :} . That crossing has been moved to the Thursday so he is crossing with the main group. That means Loobrush is making the Friday 06.00 crossing on his own. IanMPI was another faller, his place has been filled by Rhino and his good lady.

Only just joined tonight and found the group of you booked on the trip to Assen. I know the race is only 13 days away but is there time and space for another pair on a blackbird? It is the Mrs birthday weekend and I have convinced her it should be spent abroad in Holland and that Venice in 'orrible this time of year.
