Your perfectly entitled to feel what you want. We live in a democratic and free society.

As well as wanting to Police us whilst on duty it seems they also want to Police our thoughts on here. Don't take it personally, it's already been said the public will focus on what the media portrays. Every profession has it's stereotypes whether good bad or indifferent, so why rise to it. Just accept the fact no matter what you do for a living , you cant please all the people all the time, thats the way it is for all of us , but it seems you lot want special dispensation to be considered perfect at all times. Just admit it some of the Police deserve to called cnuts , though most don't, and some are rightly rewarded and recognised for going above and beyond the call of duty , but in the main , the majority are just 'plod' doing their job

DK, I think you'll find I didn't say anything about big guns and military, you'll be getting me in trouble again.
How can generalised statements refer to you? They refer to folk in general. Statements referring to you would be specific statements, surely?RHINO said:generalised statements which clearly include me...............

Firstly I'd like to say, if the police carry out a 100 raids and only get it right once, thats fine by me. Anthing to send a message to the extremists, that they will be hunted down. As for the police useing force on a raid , well WTF!, how the hell can you expect anyone to raid a house, possiably containing nutters with guns and explosives, and be polite.rovinghawk said:Isn't it nice when the IPCC backs me up? Here's today's news report on the subject:
"Two Muslim families caught up in the "terrifying'' Forest Gate anti-terror raid were innocent victims of a failure in police intelligence for which Scotland Yard should apologise, an official report concluded.
At least two of the occupants of the raided houses were physically struck, while another was shot in the shoulder by armed officers employing "very aggressive'' and "frightening'' tactics, the police watchdog said.
All of this was based on intelligence about the existence of a chemical bomb which soon proved "wrong''.
As a result, they were entitled to a direct apology, the Independent Police Complaints Commission said.
The families also criticised the IPCC, describing its report as a "whitewash'' and accusing it of failing to investigate whether the police did anything to check the intelligence before launching the operation.
No officers are facing disciplinary action as a result of its report."
I notice the kiddy porn allegation has quietly faded out-I'm sure that if it were true it would have received a brief mention.
I would be interested to hear anyone trying to defend any of this, especially the part where nobody is being disciplined for shooting an unarmed man or striking others.

Secondly, share with us your convictions, as you seem to have an unhealthy hatred towards the police, normally only sprouted forth by convicted criminals who consider the police to be everyones enemy.
Thirdly, the Brazilian was an illegal immigrant running from the police, and was warned to stop by armed police, he kept running and got shot. Tough shit.
