Eric, can I call you Eric now we have conversed once or twice...thanks...I have just pissed myself again...you bad man......:lol:

Ya don't kid me with the "no clutch lever" either. LOL

Two years time matey when we meet up on us "Viffers" on a Viffer Club rideout, we'll be fookin howling about how you pretended to hate it when it first came out.

..." fook me Tinny Tim ( one "n" please DA)...remember them 'Birds...and them lookie-likie Birds....what were they called now?..Oh yea, the Sprint ST...fookin Bag-O'-Shite or what...fookin manwal gearboxes too..Awwww my gawd...just remembered Timmy....fookin Scottoilers ...chain adjusting .....Bwaaahahahahahhahahahha .LOL PMSL.."... and so on. bl4hbl4hbl4hbl4h

...find the time to fully update us as to its potential as a Bird replacement. Thank you kind sir

...Yes, my friend. I will tell you of my test ride upon the Triumph. :-:

...It's definitely not a ?Bird (there can be only one!) but it's got all the luggage I need and a 200 mile tank range. Yes, it looks a bit dated but it's not a Pig-Ugly-Short-Haul/Pillion-killing/No-luggage piece of snot (in the colour of your choice). But, even so; the aforementioned Triumph warranty issues fill me with deep, deep dread. :)-(

sat on the ST at mcbash last year , comfy but too low for me.

...If the Triumph?s too low for ya, Harv, don?t even think about the Pig-Bike!

I think I love you

...Timothy, when Karlos and your good self have finished suckin? gums an? swappin? spit; have another look at the BMW-Bitch-Pig-Bike and notice just how low that seat is. It?s the bulky-lookin', bulbous, yet virtually useless fuel tank that misleads the eye into believing that the bike is quite substantial. It?s not.

...Also; yerd?a thought theyda put a rear brake lever where the clutch shoulda been. I mean ? the DCT thing is just a big scooter, innit? It feels totally alien wi? nowt there! Dunno if you?ve sat-on or test-ridden one yet. I reckon yer in fer a bit of a letdown.

...And which colour has Fatty Bertie bought, by the way? p0pc0rn41

...This is strictly a VFR1200-bashin' thread. :-0)

D.A....Been studying...

.....ya stance in the pics Eric and I must say that you fit that VFR like a fookin glove mate. "Ya in it".

How you finding the performance,.....surprisingly good isn't it ?

Dunno but I prefer the white one too....

Soon be enough of us to have an exclusive "Viffer 1200 Club" ....where we can swap stories about athletes feet, piles, circuses performers, furniture and kitchen ware.......Oh and motorcycling too if we get bored of course

G'morning Eric....just off out to Sunny South Wales to the Piss Flap R&D Department at the Piss Flap Factory. Can you keep an eye on "Andybird" until help arrives...seems hell bent on racking up as many "last posts" as possible ( I often "catch" Slitherfix doing it late at night) Managed to piss on his chips so far but I need releiving from this task.

P.S. Got any pics of ya luggage. The Honda Dealer at Carlisle said they cannot get any VFR1200 luggage for love nor money.

...Timmo, yer s-oooooooo right, M8!

...It was almost a religious experience - a revelation ? to be amongst that joyous crowd as we celebrated the coming of this totally amazing machine! I mean... I had to fight for ...er... well, I didn't, really. Nobody wanted to sit on it, so I just climbed aboard... :dunno:

...Anyway? ?just take a look at our faces and you'll probably want to leap out of your chair, run down to your nearest Honda dealer, and buy a Pig-bike right away.

But don?t rush, m?dear.

I?m sure there?ll always be plenty left in the showrooms? :-:

Me,I love the Busa, and when funds permit,I'll have another, along with a Blackbird to line up alongside my trusty Daytona 1200(love Triumphs as well).

Yes,people said the Busa was ugly when it came out..Me included, however, the looks could be forgiven when you rode one.The performance is just mind blowing.

The Viffer doesn't offer anything new really.Performance is on par with the Bird, tank range is less and it looks like a BMW.

While down at Poole Quay a couple of weeks ago,a white Viffer turned up,and naturally drew a bit of a gathering, with people asking the guy questions, and putting in their 2 pence worth. The general consensus from the 10 or so folk was that it was bit of a pig and they wouldn't bother.

Evenin', Jono; evenin' D&D. R#?

I?m quite looking forward to the test. We?ll be out on a 2008 bike and I?m glad I hadn?t seen the new, ?upgraded? 2010 ?cos I?d have run a mile. It?s ?orrible! :puke:

Kwak.jpg

Just goes to show; Honda aren?t the only ones who can mess up the styling of a bike!

I?ve been lurking around the Kwak sites and there don?t seem to be many issues ? although the new model GTR seems to be pretty much the same as the old one ? apart from a few more gadgets and the awful re-style. As I said, though, I?m looking forward to the test ride and I?m also going to try to get a ride on a Triumph as well. I?ll let y?all know as soon as?

Lorraine quite likes the Triumph and the GTR, but she?s started asking about the ZZR1400 ?cuz she likes the look of that model, too. (I had this picture of one on my desktop for a while.)

ZZR1400.jpg

Seems as if I?ll be riding two or three bikes over the Bank Holiday, just to keep the missus happy! ? ?My life is hell?!! :-0)

Have you considered the FJR1300?
I was well impressed with the one I was 'given' for the H4H stuff.

I?ve walked around a couple and they look really ?fiddly? when it comes to cleaning - but then, so are most bikes.

FJR1300.jpg

Also a bit too BMW-looking but, that said, they seem well-priced and well-made with plenty of goodies as standard. I?ll see how I get on with the Kwaks and the Triumph, first; and maybe try the Yam at a later date.

Not quite true !
i take it you havent seen the video of him getting it off his trailer ?:-0)
Not quite true eddie... That was ALL my fault (Left the bike in gear h1d1ng2)

As for the bike itself... I handled better than the bird straight out of the crate. It accelerated faster than the bird. Only down side (which didnt really matter) was the 15mph lack of top end speed...

Build quality was superb. Seating position was ace. We could chat away on the Autocom at 150mph plus with the screen up and in total comfort.

Personally, I loved it (and hated having to let it go )

Best to ya

Rolfy
