Sorry to hear about your boy's accident. What a shock for you and I'm glad that you are over the worst. Hope it all works out okay for him and that he's on the mend soon.

Latest update they are hoping to get him out of intensive care in the next few days and into high dependancy......a promotion! He is breathing without a ventilator most of the day but goes back on when he is tired and at night. He managed a sip of water today but is still fed through his veins. No chance of a beer then. Will have the thing in his throat for some time so he better get used to writing on a notepad! Still can't see unless they hold his lids open and rebuilding his face will take months! Plenty of time to persuade him he should replace his Qwacker with a Honda! Don't want to bore peeps so will only post if sommat significant in future.

David was moved out of Intensive Care and into High Dependancy last night so is now officially off the critical list! Well done the staff at ARI. :bow: :bow: :bow: Swelling of eyes is down enough for him to see without having his lids held open. He is using a board with letters on to spell out to his Mum. First question was "How is my bike?" and second was "Did I hurt anyone else?" I guess there is no brain damage then! Not what his Mum would say! Next op on his face is on Wednesday but no idea when the tracky thingy will be taken out of his windpipe. He is being fed icecream and yoghurt by mouth but not much else. Maybe one of MTK's steaks soon! Thanks to all for your concern and I'll update after Wednesday.

That's great Bill really glad to hear that he's on the mend, offer still stands if you need any help or a stop off point on your way to see him.
