Bugger, forgot about that too :bang: Think I might have to take up sleeping, far safer, you can't see people looking at you calling you a looney and surely it's cheap enough?

On second thoughts, no. I'm sure I heard on the news that someone recently died in their sleep  What am I to do now :dunno:

Bet they'll be pissed when they wake up.

As for Donny, are you calling me outside? g0551p

He was but has bottled it. A lot of fookin hot air the lot of 'em. Big, butch, macho bike, ridden by ageing fookin motorcyclists who should really be riding something else.

Now bite you bitch :}

Take an axle grinder to your knee sliders

Makes you look cool without popping your knee out on the nearest roundabout

Wouldn't that put you in the "All the kit, - Still shit" category though?? b0x1

Dark Angel

Still kickin' it!
...Must admit I?ve grounded the lower fairings and the gearbox casing on the ?Bird (Trackdays) and still never got me knee down. It?s only since I got a track bike that I?ve begun to appreciate just how important it is to move around and use your body to counterbalance the bike. This bloke seems to know a bit about knee-down stuff, though. :p

A way long time ago I watched Kenny Roberts start last at a race at Louden. While the rest of the field hung off tight on the inside, Kenny stayed tucked behind his fairing and rode around them on the outside.

BTW he won

Good thanks w;;v Don't post much as can't be arsed! Look in every now and again to see if there's anything interesting to read but that's about it.

It's been a great winter this year, quite warm and not too much salt on the roads. Have been doing a lot of riding in the rain this year, sometimes deliberately going out only if it's raining! Sounds weird but it ain't as scary as people make out and gives you good throttle control!

Anyway, spring's here now so get out there with the rest of the 'summer only' crew and get practising! R#?

I firmly intend to keep my knee's were they should be.. on my legs and not on the tarmacfl4g71

why this constant desire to get ones knee down ? It may well be a by product of the way you are riding. Surely it shouldn't be an end in itself and yet we get such idiotic letters in MCN (Sun for motorcyclists) asking 'how do I get my knee down ?' Its no wonder we get treated like a bunch of twats by the powers that be.

I've always been one of those who said "I can go faster without getting my knee down" and tbh I could keep up with the faster guys in the intermediate groups on track days quite easily.

Howevewr after doing a Ron Haslam Premier Track day I realised just how much quicker you can go by shifting your weight about. If you do it properly getting your knee down comes without thinking about it (bloody scared the shite out of me the first time it hit the deck at Mcleans:yo:).

Still wouldnt do it whilst riding on the road, you'd have to be doing really stupid speeds to get your knee down properly on public roads; as my instructor said to me, it's the ones who come in with ground knee sliders who are the slowest (if they've done it riding on the road) because they've learnt to lean off at much lower speeds.
