Why do people confuse God and religion the two are totaly seperate?
Wolfie when you ask about god do you mean God, as in the christian one that the jews started off, who was a very warlike god and in whose name more people have been slaughtered than any other god in history, or god as in the old gods that allegedly existed in trees, flowers, lakes, stones, etc?

I think that God, gods or whatever may well have been around but not as all seeing all knowing as they seem to be portrayed. Take Gods son Jesus, I don`t dispute he lived and that he was a decent bloke hepling loads of other people out but I can`t believe that he was immortal and performed miracles. The knowledge he had may well have appeared miraculous to some who didn`t know what to do when peeps became ill etc. I can`t speak for other religions cos I don`t know. I was dragged up as a Catholic and all that taught me was religion is full of double standards and as for God I really don`t care.

I think it would be very arrogant of us to think hat we are the only intelligent (and I use the word very loosely) species in the known universe but I really don`t believe in gods of any description. Life is what you make of it and you only get 1.

For the record, I am a Christian and believe in the Almighty.
God listened to my prayers when my daughter was fighting for her life.
I don't go to church, as I think it has lost it's way, more political than religon. I don't impose my views on anyone else though, including my daughter.

what proof is there that there is a god???

Do we have a card in a filing system somewhere that has your name, DOB, DOD on it etc.

Are our lives planned out for us and no matter what we do it is already marked out on said filing card????


If god is everywhere, like some reglions say he/she is, why do we have to go to church to pray and worship them????


Jesus loves a repented sinner, so you can be as evil as you like and at the last moment repent and that will stand you in as good as steed as the man who went to church for 50 years 3 times a week????

isnt it funny how religon believes can be bought. on the two most religious days, xmas day and good friday where all pubs have to go back to sunday hours being 12 til 2 then 7 til 10.30. but for a measly ?10 you can get an extension certificate which allows you to open later the same as all the bank hollidays.

Hello all, the God of the Bible, his name is a easy one, check almost any bible Psalms 83:18 "that people may know you whose name is Jehovah you alone are the most hifh over all the earth".
and if you check the oldest know writings of the bible found, his name appears more than 7,000 times! check for youself.
