Last night Cyclops low sided on the Duke about 12 foot in front of me

Still in Chesterfield Hossy

Shattered his left leg femur just below the knee

Gravel on a blind left handed @ 45 mph - natural reaction - put his foot down - snapped the leg backwards at a very strange angle

Bikes badly bent - TTFT insurance

Gonna be a long painful job so I've cancelled his ballet lesson for this Saturday

First Time~~

I've seen someone go down [ooo err] right in front of you

What the fook do you do?

a] Run over his bike and come off yourself?
b] Run over HIM and phook him up even more? but save yourself
c] Close ya eyes and aim for the gap?

Instinct told me to opt for c] but ended up on the other side of a blind bend - thank Christ there was nothing coming the other way

Give Ian my regards mate.. not much else to say really :bang:
With all these accidents is it time we started looking at any common causes ?
one that springs straight up is the fact that Wiz and Cyclops both came off due to gravel.
Are there any more out there who has had the same misfortune ?
BTW, wonder if it is worth suing the local council as lose gravel is NOT allowed on a carraigeway unless notices warn of it !

Funnily enough~~

this was a central line of gravel - just 1/2 mile away from where the road had been "resurfaced" with NO roads signs!!

Makes you wonder eh?

Gravel

Just so John, one of our fav roads up here in NNorfolk is the A148 coast road from Cromer to Wells and on to Sunny Hunny. We havn't been able to give it any welly at all this year because there is so much gravel.

All the best Cyclops

Femur

Berty, the femur goes from hip to knee below is the tibia and fibia. Tib and fib fixes fairly quickly, femur can be an absolute b?$%^&*. I speak as a witness not from experience.

Sorry to hear about Cyclops...

Hope the leg is better soon..

BTW, Bert.. Its either a femur (above the knee) or a fibia (below the knee) But there again, its typical of Ian not to make his mind up...LOL

Best wishes,

Rolfy & Jan

Mystery Solved then Nick~~

it was the phooking glass eye on the road not gravel!!

Can he still sue the council for not correctly displaying the road sign "Caution Rolling Glass Eyes"

Pehaps this sign might be more apt???

I suppose every bend is a blind bend for Cyclops because if he doesnt have his eyes closed his falsey pops out !!
