Whilst I completely agree with your views on the EDL's actions last night at least they did something and I am certainly not saying it had the right motives or it wasn't using this tragedy as an excuse to express it's views. But if the tables were turned and a muslim preacher was killed in the street by 2 soldiers, the whole muslim community would take to the streets, in one voice and they would be heard, meanwhile we bleat on a forum and argue amongst ourselves. Until we all stand up together and let the government know that enough is enough nothing will change. And I'm sure the next time there is a terrorist attack we will all be completely outraged( I include myself in this statement) But what are we going to do about it. What can we do about it ????

We don't let the extremists on either side win, they both have the same aim to divide decent people and have us fighting each other in the name of race or religion

Doesn't anyone think that the timing of this attack strangely coincides with a surge in concerns about immigration and a shift further to the right, if there is a backlash against innocent muslims, it could be the biggest recruitment coup that the jihad has seen, was that there aim?

I would just like to say I was very impressed with the women that risked their lives trying to stop any further attacks on this poor lad, and the woman that kept one of the killers talking and thus possibly preventing him from attacking anyone else, :bow:

Clueless in most things
The easiest way to defeat them is to deny them colum inches and media time. This event showed when they could have escaped, they stayed waiting for the police but mostly for people to you tube their message.

Remove the message and it will not be seen as a thing to do. The problem therein lies with so many media outlets and everyone wanting to get an exclusive over the other, that none would hold to a ban on promoting these acts by coverage.
