After my disastrous attempt with the Contour camera, I left it charging for a few hours. When it said it was charged I turned it on and started recording. Just had it sat on the sofa next to me so that I could keep an eye on it.

It recorded for about 80 mins before it died!

I hadn't touched it for a couple of years so the battery was properly dead. After 1 full charge it lasted 30 odd seconds until it was fully discharged. After the 2nd full charge it lasted 80 mins!

Is this normal for Li-ion batteries?

Wouldn’t give you a toss for em!
Bought a diving torch some years ago with the new miracle li-ion batteries in as the EU had banned Ni-Cad, it had three power settings with proportional burn times, in one season of use the capacity had dropped by 50% .
Struggled through the next season with the capacity dropping off alarmingly. Contacted the company and was informed I needed a new battery pack at £290.00 almost 3/4 the price of the torch, didn’t bother, dug out my old Ni-Cad one, worked fine.
Lesson! Just because it’s new doesn’t mean it’s better.

They have improved massively in the last two or three years Jay..
As electric cars started to become more in vogue, LiPo batteries took massive leaps forward.. However, worth remembering, just like DiD chains, there is no such thing as a cheap one still !

Went for a ride.

Visited Macclesfield, Buxton and Matlock Bath. I think we touched Chesterfield too. Some of the roads around there are simply stunning.

Saw 2 Birds in Matlock Bath.

Whacked some ‘flange’ bearings in the ST13. Why did Honda put two bearings unsealed back to back... that’s cheap

Saturday I fully intended to work on the Dangerous Trike - I did not work on the trike as I spent the day building a coop for our newly arrived 6 ducks!
But Sunday I worked on the trike (y)

Who knew ducks are like Crack Cocaine addicts for peas - funny as hell. (y)

Yep they are hilarious, but frozen ones make then jump a bit & give you a filthy look :D sweetcorn makes them do the same as peas but don't give it them too often, duck shit is bad enough as it is & sweetcorn makes it worse

No need to build one, there's usually one round the corner. Failing that, there's plenty of other supermarkets your ducks can shop at.
