Usual Wednesday start, breakfast followed by the long commute from the kitchen to my study for work. Two meetings done, now just time for a coffee before heading out to my contracted office for the first time in about 4 years. All to do with the Govt. drive to get people back in their offices for at least 60% of their working time.

What have I done today?
Coughed.
Sneezed.
Wiped my forever running nose.
Had two teaspoons of Manuka honey.
Took kids to School.
Slept.

Bought back the field I sold yesterday for a £10m profit for £3.

To fund it I sold the Duster.

Just need to think about what to do with the £2 left over.

Similiar to that happened here a few years ago. Don't remember the numbers but the guy who sold for millions bought it back for thousands.

A local guy bought the old Woolley colliery land for £1, he used his own team of excavators to get it ready for building on, it is now a housing estate & the guy is a multi millionaire

Without naming names I had a client years ago that was ‘greening’ old collieries/slag heaps in your part of the world. Highly remunerative. Very well known in horse racing circles…

Spent a while convincing the Lithium battery in the Commando that really did want to accept a charge

Then removed the primary chaincase to clean up an oil leak - it shouldn’t leak at it’s a dry belt drive. Sorted now, I hope.

Polished it. Now what?

moved onto the Trident again. I’ll change the rear disc and caliper for lightweight Girling units like on the front. A simple enough job, but I need to remove loads of stuff to get access. No small wonder Brit bikes faded away as their engineering is extremely crap compared to Jap stuff. It’s all removed and I’ve replaced the disc, but I’ll need to pop out to my pal at HEL and get a replacement hose made up with different ends. The Girling floating disc is half the weight of the old cast iron one. IMG_3832.jpeg

That will have to wait until Friday.

Been collecting quotes to have the wing of my car repaired after neighbour's idiot dog jumped on it. Fuckwit of a chocolate lab that insists on jumping on me every time she sees me. I don't mind her jumping on me but not on the f'ing Panzer!

One bodyshop is optimistic that the scratches can be polished out, BMW sent me a quote of £758 as the wing apparently needs respraying. I'm hoping they can be polished out.

How much value has it added to the car?

Watched a local hero on Gardeners World… Jeff Stonebanks opens his wonderful and surprisingly small garden to the public many times a year and has raised well over £100k for local charities.
