Lengthy GP visit to tie up the numerous loose ends from my medical debacle over Xmas. Having read my blood pressure three times a day for the last three months I was worried that it was high but GP said it was spot on which was great to hear. Also ‘a good strong heart with no sign of any disease or irregularity’ (all that cycling….) and good looking as well. One of those two is a fib.
None of the numerous brain/heart/respiratory tests undertaken in hospital found anything amiss and the conclusion is that the two collapses were down to exhaustion and general illness during and post covid. Which is what I have been saying all along, found it hard to convince anyone just how bad I was for two months.
Only thing left to check now is whether my blood pressure drops significantly when I stand up, hopefully just a formality as it was fine when assessed at the GP.
The NHS gets a lot of stick but for me they have been brilliant. No complaints whatsoever..,and I got sponge puddings and custard in hospital.
