Walked to the top of the garden. Sat down in the sunshine and started to read a book.
I kept coming across sections that I’d underlined when I first read it in 1991.
…Made me smile because it reminded me of the person that I used to be.

My son works for Emirates Airlines and is now working from home in Dubai, he said the other night the freight side of things had gone bananas, the workforce has to take a 50% pay cut so as not to lose cabin staff as passenger flights have been curtailed for the time being.
Posts like this always reminds me of what old guys used to say about pension books, “remember, they don’t come on their own”.

After stripping the Birdy over the winter this was the perfect time to reassemble and give the girl some fresh air even if it was only a push outside ! Then treated the wood on the garage to 2 coats of preservative (including me) and also completed half the garage floor painting which will be finished off over the next few days. I was going to do that over the summer but as I'm at home, thought it worth doing now, nowt else to do !!
Sadly they will now rust - underneath all that crud there is (was) a preotective costing of some sort...once removed they start going rusty.
