Mowed the lawn now its dry enough to get it down to a proper height
Finished & lacquered some table legs I was making out of new jackhammer spikes
Started to cast bits into the top for the above legs

Basically kept out of the way of her indoors as much as is humanly possible (y)

Washed the windows and gutters and soffits and all around the workshop. :(

Started up the Norton inside the closed garage, surprised myself really as I didn’t expect it to start so quickly. Then realised I needed to turn it off or I wasn’t going to get out of there alive :risas3:

Sat in the garden all afternoon, soaking up the sun and catching up on my reading backlog.
With the number of books I've got yet to read, this will need to run till at least Christmas.

Spoke to my mate who went on holiday to Australia before this all really kicked off. He's still out there and can't get back unless he pays £10,000 for the flight:eek::eek::eek::eek:

As I mentioned elsewhere earlier, my sister’s partner is stuck in NZ and a similar price per seat, there are 3 off them and 2 babies. £40,000 a flight.

It's ridiculous...all these planes being parked up should be used to those that are stuck back home

I think, looking at the info to hand, it is probably safer for them to stay where they are and away from the crisis centre, i.e. Europe.

They will be. BA are going to be doing repatriation flights in the not too distant once the logistics are sorted. It's not as simple as you might think; there's all sorts of legal shite, immigration and red tape to sort, not to mention 'who's paying' (it'll be the British Embassy in the country concerned). It's not a five minute job to get it all sorted.
