Washed the car but didn’t wax it as the wax was going hard in the cold!

Resigned myself to the fact that the power washer is going to have to be replaced.

The people that travelled down from Dumfries to take one of our pony’s on breeding loan are involved in training animals for film & television, they mentioned that they are travelling to Leeds & Halifax every few days working on the new Disney plus Marvel series starring Samuel L Jackson & Olivia Coleman, they taught Olivia to ride side saddle, they have appeared in stay close, the Crown, game of thrones, vigil, jess (the daughter actually body doubled for Suranne Jones, interesting people, they’ve given us an open invite to stay with them.

All the Manchester United fans going back to London?

The strange one was the big middle east airline's executive Boeing 737 whose occupants were at the United v West Ham match.

Very exclusive aircraft which isn't normally seen even when the team he owns is playing important matches, speculation why he chose to watch the competition.

Is he now thinking of buying the correct team or are West Ham about to get investment?

The other oddity was Preston flying in from Cardiff after their match - in a much smaller aircraft than the luxury pimped out 737!
Would've thought a coach trip would have been better for global warming.

As for the United supporters, most of them jetted off to places much further away than Darn Sarf (although a few did).

Amazing just how much aviation activity is generated by football, its very significant.

Business jets flitting about with owners, rich fans, individual rich players. The obvious stuff when the whole team travels and then fans en masse for the big European matches etc.

Just don't tell Greta :)

Looked after Mrs B who has symptoms of man flu.
Tried to work out again why I have to pay three annual direct debits to Information Commissioners Office. Every year it feels like a total rip off.

That's because Gatwick has been demoted to a backwater airfield.

Big London Airways is not really interested in UK airports outside the M25 unless its for feeding onto the flights out of Heathrow. Its been following this plan since it handed most of the domestic stuff to Flybe.

That just leaves the smaller hangers on trying to see if they can carve a niche at LGW.

Flybe is due to rise from the ashes this spring but I don't think LGW/MAN is in their plans, you never know though. With HS2 bubbling away in the background the last few years no-one seems to have had an appetite to look at the expense of running in potential competition.

It looks good on paper…but Heathrow is a nightmare to get to. Taxi drivers both where I used to live and down here will not do Heathrow runs because of the traffic issues. Public transport links are rubbish as well.

My favourite airport is Southend. Park literally outside the terminal, hardly anyone else around on the two occasions I have used it, baggage drop ten yards past the front door and then walk fifty yards to the aircraft.

Best of all, flying back from Amsterdam you arrive ten minutes before you left. How good is that!
