Barely a day has gone by over the last 22 years where I haven’t wanted to throttle her but I still couldn’t live without her. I wouldn’t change a thing either (except her openly disliking chocolate except when it’s mine and she decides to eat half of it).
my only ‘irritation’ is stuff being ‘tidied away’.
Just went to fill the bird feeder (obviously with seed soaked in slow acting poison) and that had been moved. Checked both sheds. Gave in and asked…it’s now in a plastic bin by the back door to the garage.
Got the lads to help me drop the big antenna mast ..
Removed one of the antennas which I have to repair, then re-rigged the mast
Will be doing the repair during the week, then next week do the whole thing again to refit the repaired twig

Same here. Two of the little bastards in the humane traps yesterday morning and the third trap had tripped taking the tail off another. I released them over the Common so if they try to make it back, my neighbour’s cat will have a word.Mice here

Relieved that no more travelling at daft o'clock to get to work, then travelling about to do the bleedin work.

numeration package offered with the job i just quit (spoke to him on the phone) seemed decent about it.

Played a little game with an officious tv license inspector, went to the other house to pick up a couple of tools that I’d left there, as I pulled up I noticed a black Mondeo parked outside with a middle aged pug faced giffer sat inside, as I let myself in I heard his car door shut & a few seconds later a loud banging on the door. I went to the door & the guy showed me his id on the lanyard round his neck, “Michael Clough, I’m from the tv licensing authority, according to our records you don’t have a tv license” …”er, yes I do”…”not according to our records”….”I can assure you I am fully legal” ….”according to our records there is no license for this address”….”but that’s not what you said, you said I don’t have a license & I do”….”for this address?”…”no, for my other address” ….”you need a license for each property”….”no I don’t”……”I can assure you that you need a license for each separate address”….”no I don’t because I don’t have a television at this address”…”can you prove that?”….”yes”….”I need proof that you don’t have a television here”……”I can assure you that I don’t have a television here”…..”I need to see proof”…..”come back with a warrant then as I’m going home now” with that I locked the door & went home
