was at work yesterday, most customers were ok but one had me spitting feathers (as my mum would say)

I was serving a customer when he asked me about batteries, I told him where they were and off he went, another customer turned up and asked if the other customer had gone, I said he had gone to get something but I would cancel the transaction and served him. The duty manager decided to put his ore in and told me to cancel the transaction and I told him I was.
I then served the new customer who then after paying turned and said thanks for your help to the duty manager, who replied you're welcome, misogynist A holes

Unfortunately I missed the incident.....

I went to pay for newspaper in bookshop and the lady on the desk, maybe about 45, whom I knew as I was a regular, said she was in a state of shock.

A previous customer had abused her.
The till was acting up, all tech and screen, and she had to go through a few routines to sort it. He basically told her she was too old to be using the technology.

Local term might be "gobshite" or stronger if you wish.

We both had our covid boosters and flu jabs this morning At a chemist.

Booked covid boosters, they said they would do our flu jabs if they were available at the same time. Unfortunately they weren’t (over 65s only) and although they were really busy the young lady, without prompting, rang another branch a mile away to see if they could do the flu jabs for us….which they could.

Exceptional service from Kamsons Pharmacies in Telscombe Cliffs and Peacehaven.

Booked Covid booster for tomorrow.
Finishing off decorating the hallways, stairs and landings. Do not get paint spray on contact lenses it hurts (a lot).
Cut the rear lawns.
Fitted the optimate lead to the trumpet.

Scrubbed the motorhome front to rear, I also cleaned the roof although the picture was taken at the halfway point before it’s pointed out that it wasn’t finished. I’m now officially knackered, it was a long job.

Tested positive for f”ing covid. Been feeling like shit for last couple of days and Mrs P made me take a test when she got home from work last night. Waiting on PCR test kit now.

Went to village coffee morning at the church
phoned BT as they were supposed to phone me and didn't, the woman on the end said that they would refund £9.99 set up fee and £30 compensation to my bank account, 2 minutes later got text to tell me they had credited £39.99 to my BT account

I have had a couple of PCR tests locally, got one result back same day and the other first thing next morning. If you have a site near you it only takes a couple of minutes, don’t even get out of the car….might be worth considering?
