My nextdoor neighbour is a former JP. He's never applied for planning permission for the flagpole in his back garden, which I helped him put up about 4 years ago.

MOT'd the 'Bird. An embarrassing only 1400 miles ridden on her since last year.
A bit better than the 60 miles in a year I managed on the old XR250.

Drove over to Bungay and collected a set of external thermal silver screens for the van someone no longer wanted
They are in far better shape than ours so I will now put ours up for grabs :)

Have you really spent all day researching this?
Nope, just a little refresher from when we had a flagpole on the smallholding, looked good with the Yorkshire flag flying from it, removed the flag as it scared the horses, ended up removing the flagpole & sinking a telegraph pole to hang haynets on.

people that have flagpoles have usually overlooked the noise they make, can be a real pain in the arse for others, both the flag and the rigging.

Never noticed any noise, it was at the far end of the field, although it did overlook a footpath.

Phoned up the company that I ordered my parrot food from to tell them it hadn't arrived, they phoned parcel force and hopefully it should be here tomorrow and they are sending me some free mix that I'm short of, I don't hold my breath it will arrive as the parrot food I ordered from a different company yesterday on next day delivery hasn't arrived either

Pity Iceland don’t do parrot food, they always deliver on time.

Fitted new car battery into the jelly mould.
Bloody thing was about 15mm taller &
even after measuring comparison batts.
Had to remove the air box cover to slide
the battery in or out. Stupid design.
Whipped the new battery back out and noticed a small plastic spacer protruding out of the bottom of the battery tray? Took that out and the new batt slotted in nicely. Well it did until I tried to fit the retaining bar back on, bloody thing was about 10mm too short on both securing bolts. Out came the mole grips and persuaded the bar lugs to bend, just enough to fit the bolts through and screw the flange nuts back on.
Air box back on, checked the filter first which was very clean, battery terminals cleaned and re-lubed, tightened all up and then washed the car and made the alloys look respectable again.
Time flies when having fun.
