Rapid flow test, thankfully negative, as I found out in the afternoon that one of my friends who I did a walk with on Saturday and who had an operation planned for tomorrow has tested positive for covid, so her op has been postponed until December and she is meant to be isolating. But I wouldn't put my money on it, as her son in law on returning from France and should have been isolating threw a BBQ to which my friend went.

Usual weekly food shop, apart from the out of stock items

went to see the monkeys :aplastao: Also saw owls, meerkats, had a python wrapped round me (it was only a little one) and lots of other nice animals at a rescue centre.

Sponsored a donkey in a different rescue centre yesterday. By way of coincidence I was their bank manager 1987-89.

Which one?
It'll be all 4.

You know....the ones that get pulled over from one side to the other and stuck down, only to spring up and wave around at the slightest hint of a breeze. :risas3:

Tomorrow I might have a drive in my new car that Andy probably paid for & I’m going to look for some cyclists to test the AEB.

I'm really struggling with my mental health lately. After losing my mum in March, work trying to fire me after making a mistake the week after I went back and various so called friends who were quick to offer support but weren't actually there when I needed them, I'm having a pretty shitty, lonely, year.

Today, after I got back from the school run I decided to go for a walk. I like walking but my shoes need replacing so I put my trainers on. Trainers didn't go with my trousers so I put on my jogging bottoms. I only have jogging bottoms as I'm so unfit I know that I need to do something about it! lol

Anyway, walked for a mile to the local canal then walk turned into jog. I'd love to say that jog turned into run but I'm no where near ready to actually run!! but the important thing is, I jogged. Jogged, then walked a bit then jogged a bit more. I know exercise is good for your head but knowing it and dragging yourself out of a slump is another thing. So, 4.5 miles of outdoor activity and I'm back home, showered and feeling a little bit better.

Oh, telling one of the friends that weren't there for me what I thought of them has lifted a load too.

You soon find out who your real friends are when the shit hits the fan.
I've always said that if you have 1 good friend who you can rely on 100% when you need them most then you're ahead of the vast majority.

Exercise is indeed good for you, no matter what it is and how much you do. All those Endorphins that it generates gives you a welcome boost.

Keep yer chin up mate. Or we'll send Beaker round to give you a hug.....

Exercise is great for the mind. When I was cycling 25 miles each way to work it didn’t matter how crap a day I had been through or how wound up I was when I left work (which was usually ‘pretty’) I would be as relaxed as a sloth on tranquillisers by the time I got home.
