Went to went to Mottistone Manor. We have visited dozens of gardens and National,Trust places over the years and this is our firm favourite, fourth time we have been. Well worth a visit if you are on The Isle of,Wight.

Had pie and chipson the beach as the sun was setting.

Chip shop chips are never cooked enough for me; should be soft in the middle and crispy on the outside Intead of an anaemic pile of greasy things that people shove down their gullets. But heroically I forced them down, just about palatable swimming in vinegar.

Went to gym this morning, needed something positive this week. Hit a personal best on the deadlift, 185kg. Not massive but considering I have a burst disc in my back, I’m ok with it.

Not always the chippy’s fault, the quality of spuds these days is horrendous, too much water content which is not conducive to good chips.

Chip shops don’t have time to adapt, restaurants tend to go for the triple cooked chips, this is because they realise they can’t buy decent spuds.
“Don’t have time to adapt”.

Thats how businesses die.

Chip shops are a fast food outlet (the clue is in the description) they don’t have time to triple cook chips.

It was you who brought up triple cooking not me!!
Heston bloominheck experimented on ways to dry out chips to get the perfect texture & taste, microwaving didn’t work so after much experimentation he discovered that triple cooking produced the perfect chip, this involves slowly simmering, then freezing followed by deep frying twice (or summat like that) you want perfect chips go to a restaurant, you want fast food go to a chippy
