Heston bloominheck experimented on ways to dry out chips to get the perfect texture & taste, microwaving didn’t work so after much experimentation he discovered that triple cooking produced the perfect chip, this involves slowly simmering, then freezing followed by deep frying twice (or summat like that) you want perfect chips go to a restaurant, you want fast food go to a chippy
Flipping heck all I said was in my opinion chip shop chips were always undercooked!
didn’t realise I was going to be lectured!

Not a lecture, just explaining why chippy chips aren’t as good, even Chinese chips aren’t as good

We went down the local chippy recently and the chips were soggy as fluck. Tasted ok but way too soggy. I find the best chips these days are Aldi‘s frozen oven chips. Sacrilege, maybe, but they’re dry, fluffy and taste proper.

I love Aldi’s chips but still do them in the fryer, oven chips are bland

I used to have a real downer on oven chips but will concede that if cooked to the edge of burning and turned during cooking the frozen crinkle cut ones are ok.

Took the Panzer to Newport BMW this morning. When on intermittent auto wipe, the blade on the driver's side keeps hitting the windscreen pillar. As well as being wrong, it's f'ing annoying. Also, the indicators work because someone forgot to take the bulbs out so they're being fixed, too.

I've been given a 420i Gran Coupe as a courtesy car. I really don't like petrol!

Later this morning, my dealers came to collect the little Triumph for damage assessment and estimate for repairs. I rode her up the ramp into the back of the van with no issue, so I'm hoping it's only the bits I'm aware of and no nasty surprises.

Bought a Frank Thomas £200 leather and mesh jacket from the receptionist at work for £50, bargain.
Still smells new and only worn a handful
of times. Belonged to her brother in law.
They are emigrating to foreign lands.
Made my day/week.
Yes she does.

Shooting this morning, I got there late to be greeted with the news that one of the lads had just pinged the 40yard bell 100 times on the trot without missing a shot (y) to put that into perspective that's a (in his case) 4.5mm pellet through a 6mm hole which takes some doing

Conditions were perfect so I thought I would have a go knowing it would be a bit more difficult with a 5.5mm pellet, did 35 and had a short break as my bad shoulder was giving me gyp then banged another 16 in for fun without missing a single shot, chuffed to feck with that and am sure I could have done more but the shoot was closing

Might give it another go tomorrow if conditions are good for it
