When we moved in a lot of things (mainly Bev’s & kid’s things) were crammed into the garage & I had to climb over boxes & bags to get my tools, we finally had a clear out & moved some stuff to the loft & some to the tip, a couple of weeks back I arrived home to find Bev & two guys with a van (the guys who moved our stuff here) closing the garage door, Bev had just bought a brand new kitchen complete with appliances for the investment property & had it delivered into my garage, it is stacked right up to the door & she won’t let me move it, I asked if she’d got my tool bag & drills out, nope she never thought about it.

Made this out of an old teak centre section from an expanding table that I have had for years as ‘it might come in handy one day’

20p for anyone who can guess what it’s for. It is an irregular triangle And it will be painted to match decor.

Not just good-looking you know....
The corner cut off for cables was a clue
Ah ha! You have just forfeited the 20p:smash2:

The corner cut out purpose is twofold;

  1. Acknowledging the fact that there is no way a totally snug right angle in the corner is going to fit neatly and will probably damage the wallpaper when being put in and taken out
  2. somewhere to put a few fingers in to lift the thing out when needed
  3. a bit of ventilation for the five electrical devices under the cover
and no cables involved, they all exit the wall under the cover.
