Rode it like I stole it, :-0) then put sensible head back on and slowed, just in time to be missed by a speed trap!!

Polished and painted my wheels, got a bit fed up after about 3 hours and thought I should have just painted them, but well worth all the hard work when finished. Now just have to polish them after every ride! :xm

exactly what happened to mine last weekend. try a small cable tie round it. you might need somebody to hold the tank while you do it, worked on mine so far...

think the bike getting very hot in this weather may also be a factor, pipe was nice and soft...

Good advice - might just stick a cable tie on the hose to be on the safe side - cheers Gar

Took mine for a nice 60 mile jaunt and found a nice spot for a pepsi and a fag.

Touched the pegs down, but knee sliders remain unblemished! Only done about 400 miles on the bike since I got it, so got my mind on a few refinements she needs, but going good for now!

Went for a blast & knocked in 211 miles on the Bird plus a quick 10 miles on a mates ZZR1400 Mk 1 model that is in mint mint mint condition with 10,753 miles that is no longer on his radar as a play thing & I'm thinking about buying it but I also have my eye on another plane.
But as I rode home I feel mixed emotions about getting shot of the Bird so many have done it & came back to the Bird I can't help thinking I could be about to add to that list !

When I started doing that on my old 600 a mate had a subtle word with me : "Get your fecking arse off the bike and stand it up more or you're gonna fecking bin it!"

That advice made me safer and got me planting me knee @tu*

update on the puncture repair, I went to pick it up and the bloke said, "it's done but its not successful, sorry but its still gonna cost you a tenner, sometimes they seal after you get them hot, take it home and try it out", WTF?

I did, and it still leaks....

It's going back tonight to have a proper job done!! That's why you use a so called professional, I thought!

Is a lunp
rode it again, 3 week in a row now, measured the fork springs on saturday, right on the service limit at 311mm free length for the race tech springs, new is 315mm. So put them back in again as it has taken them 8 yrs to get to that level so have another yr or two left in them yet.

by the way standard carb springs are only 237mm new (i think from memory).

I went for a cross country ride, a couple of geezers stuck some stickers on the front forks (and I think may have done some spannering) and then when I rode the twisties home again my 'bird was much more comfortable and handled better.

A good day @tu*
