Who is Kylie and what happened
Kylie was a Blackbird bought by a bloke Mike W who turned up for the Shrops Welsh Rideout a few years back
It was Mike's first ride out with what was then called the Midlands Massif and so we all poked around Mike's new bike
Seemed odd - some things just didn't look/feel right
Over the weekend, it kept breaking down and climaxed [cue Lumpy's wank sense of humour again - yes pun intended] -when the electrics went all Pete Tong and Mike has to return home compliments of the AA
Anyway long story short - we all advised via this forum that Mikle should investigate the bikes history a bit deeper
Turns out it was a ringer - sold by a dealer - naughty naughty
Once Mike got his money refunded, he went on to name and shame the rogue dealer - some bike showroom out in Peterborough - name [genuinely] escapes me - but the dealers card was well and truly marked and everyone on this forum made sure folks knew the truth and avoided like the plague
Understand that the specific dealer no longer trades - draw your own conclusions
Unfortunately Mike W is no longer with us - he was killed in a bike accident only last year
Co-incidentally, we also had another [alledgedly] rogue dealer in here who was in the paint spraying business - he did work for several guys - some good quality - the majority very poor [saw examples with my own eyes] - the warning flag was [again, clearly hoisted
So given the fuss that's been made of what is obviously a rogue bike from a rogue dealer, I think it's only right and proper within this forum community to "look after your mates"
