I guess maybe footballers are the modern/lower class group with a sense of entitlement - we have another such group also making the news at the moment.
Which other such group? Not asking for a mate, asking for me as I rarely pay any attention to the news.

Only the Liebour party are really making the news at the moment but I suspect he means someone else, not that bunch of twats.

Yes, I think does too.
I'm making the point that there are loads of entitled groups. ;)

I see the footballist has now been further arrested for sexual assault and threats to kill.

He's now been released on bail. To my simple mind, that doesn't seem right for such serious allegations unless there's some doubt.

I need an expert opinion. T.C Tony, in your view, what's happening here? Is this normal or is there seemingly more to this than meets the eye?

I think I mentioned in my original post that I thought there was more to this than we were being told....

I am with you in that it is very unusual for someone accused of such serious offences to be released on bail, especially when you look at Benjamin Mendy from across the City at my club who I know is alleged to have committed a higher number of offences, but has been remanded in custody pending trial later this year,

Something is not adding up. But again like I said in my original post, we should not be making judgements based on what the press report, they cannot be trusted at the best of times :naughty2: ;)

We've also both more or less said that it's innocent until proven guilty.

I agree we shouldn't be making judgements; that was the whole point of me starting this thread. I was looking for an experienced and informed opinion on whether or not it was unusual that someone under suspicion of such serious offences would be released on bail, and that's exactly what I got (y)

And one who is a convicted rapist who has dodged a seven year jail sentence who appears to be a hero to some in his home country

Going only from memory here so I stand to be corrected, but Lee Hughes was the worst offender. He drove whilst drunk and killed someone then did a runner. Wanker. None of them ring any bells for sexual assault.

Up in Scotland David Goodwillie who has been signed by Raith Rovers is now making headline news, in 2017 he lost a civil case and was branded a rapist by a judge, he hasn't been in front of a jury, also as far as I know he has been playing for another club and scoring goals without anyone saying anything, but he changes clubs and all he'll breaks loose to the point Nicola Sturgeon is getting involved, he should be tried in front of a jury

Dunno about Marlon King, but definitely Stan Collymore. If memory serves, Ulrika Johnsson accused him of abuse of some sort.
