Bollocks! :qmeparto: Of course yer can be emotionally attached to an “it”, or a “thing”: it’s just a matter of personal choice. :sherlock:

The catalyst for emotional attachment is what we call “quality”. When a “thing” is a thing that we recognise as “a thing of quality” we can allow ourselves to become emotionally attached to it through what we refer to as “desire”, or “possessiveness”. We allow ourselves, quite literally, to care for such things and we “miss” them when they are no longer available to us. In extreme cases, we may even give these “things of quality” human names blah-blah-blah

Signed: Thingy. :D
Simple question then....

If your wife bought you a real flying Spitfire, would it be a "she" or an "it"....?

Still kickin' it!
It would be an "it", until I became emotionally attached to it - when it would become "special" to me.
Then, it would become my "special it": my Spit.

Bad poetry won't save you..!
You, sir, are emotionally retarded and in need of some serious therapy. :crazylick:

All Spitfires are "she". Even Beaker would agree with that.

Fact. :D

It's simple. If you can and have made love to an inanimate object you can then call anything a 'he' or a 'she'.

Anyone got anything they want to say??

I knew a girl like that once, did you know her as well then?
