I know you've had a couple of offer already Shrops, but I have a CBR600 sitting round doing nothing until I pass a test, so if you need a loan, shout.

Hope the aches, pains and fracture all mend quickly, looking at the photos it's a miracle you're still with us

Can't beleive you peeps

Had four offers of bikes,,,,,, what can I say  all diferent colours to,Fast blue one off Taffy,, slow red one off Moog, :} slow silver one off Taz on IXXRA & a CBR600 from Artemis, thanks peeps.

seems like I have a fractured right wrist & a fractured left phibea (sp) shame my wrist will be in plaster for 4/6 weeks ( long time off work) so Assen is out of question on bike :B totally pissed at that after 9 months of planning.

feeling better today,, aches in the chest & shoulders are easing ( maybe I can sleep in my bed tonight) got some good quality pics of wreckage today will post later.

Hospitals:

Went to Hereford Sunday afternoon,, Lorna drove me in the car so it would free the Ambulance up,, some dickwit of a doctor saw me & said I had bad bruising & a sprained wrist & ligaments  then sent me on my way :dunno: . After a rough night,, thought I would go see my GP for pain releif ,,he checked me over & organised x rays,, Had them done at Ludlow but no experts to look at them,, so today went up to Shrewsbury to see expert, , did other x rays on top left thigh & pelvis,, all ok there. Hereford will get a bloody complaint because this could have been sorted Sunday,, have been hobbling about with two fractures for tw days :bang:

Rant over,, just bloody angry just shows you get toss pots in all walks of life.

Thanks to everyone for the support,, it really is appreciated from my self,, Lorna & Richard & Amy

Shrops ....

bit late in saying this, but real sorry to see/hear of your escapade.

Hope you mend quick,

I always treat every bugger out on the road as if they are out to get me personally, so far it has worked. (course they actually might e out to get me ...)

best wishes,

Still kickin' it!
What a Crock!!!

Just back from a few days in the Lake District, so only just seen the thread.

Glad you're in better shape than the bike, Mark. Shame you'll miss Assen, but we'd rather you miss that than have us missing you.

Sorry to hear of the crap service you got at A&E but its seems an all too familiar story. HB walked round for two years with his bicep muscle detached and the ligaments hanging off in his shoulder. Some tw*t of a dr told him it was nothing to worry about and he only needed physio. Get a second opinion for everything cos I think they get their licence to practice off the back of a cornflake box!!!! :bang:

Hiya Mark.......

Sorry to be a bit late on this one, but just got back from Germany about 2 hours ago...

Real sorry to hear of your misfortune.... Bet the old twat needs a bloody eye test...But glad to hear that you are not badly hurt.... You will soon heal mate... Sorry it seems you will miss Assen, but you could do it in the cage with the top down (no helmets needed...LOL) If you could have ridden you would have been welcome to use our bike for the trip (another fast blue one)...

We wwill try to ring you over the next day or two...Loads of love to you Lorna & the family (all moved out now :} )

maybe pop over and see you at the weekend...

Best wishes for a speedy recovery...

lumpy said:
Slightly unfair to the majority of good ones. There is no excuse for missing things but workload and tiredness do take their toll int he end. Blame the budgetary restraints if anything.

If there has been malpractice then report it.
Yeah but why are all the bad ones in one area? 2 years ago Hunter saw two doctors and went to two hospitals with various problems in a very short time period. He hardly ever saw a quack before that, but no-one picked up on that fact. They were giving advice like eat weetabix and take painkillers c7u8

The crunch came after several weeks of this when I came home to find him looking very rough (hard to tell mind you) and to cut a very very long story short we spent all night in A&E at Swindon before he finally saw a doctor and was diagnosed as critically ill with acute renal failure and was rushed to Oxford where all the good doctors seem to hang out. He was within 2 hour of dying when he got there and I'm afraid I do blame the quacks around here. :bandit:

Anyone planning an off or serious illness (no-one here, I hope) don't do it around Swindon for God's sake.

Oh, and Lumpy, reporting it does no good either, tried that too. They gang up and deny everything. All you get for your pains is even more stress and no result :bang: :bang:

Sorry to hijack your thread, Shrops, but bad quacks are rather a sore point.
Hope you're feeling better now.

Soap box back in cupboard, going to bed now :k

The Drs and local X-ray dept missed my crushed vertabrae, walked aroud with (in effect) a broken spine for almost a year, until pain got so bad I went Private (Insured) they then found the damage that resulted in two major spine ops, full spinal x-rays followed next day by MRI scan, result.

 I was gonna ask about the seat as well Clive

Shrops, lets us know how it goes, offers still on for a coffee if you have a wander through Kent, in a cage or bike makes no difference.

Corbin seat

Looks good don't it,, trouble is the firemen snapped it in half through the resin base wrenching it off to gain access to the battery to make the bike safe.( had a tank full of gas) Lorna is really pissed off because she really loved that seat,,, still can get another,, its only money.

Artemis,, sorry to hear your story about bad medical service to,,, have complained to Hereford,, will see what happens,, forms to fill etc.

Had a good nights sleep last night,, bruises coming out all over even one on my arse

Jon has changed my ferry booking from the bike to the cage,( cheers m8), so will still be going to Assen with everyone,, :yo:

Said thanks to one of the peeps who helped me at the scene last night,, said he had a visit off the driver who is most worried about losing his licence & being prosecuted,, :dunno: because he has to ferry his handicapped son about. chap told him he was lucky he didn't kill me & that everything else that happens is a bonus.

on the mend now.
