In a statement, Buckingham Palace previously said "unacceptable and deeply regrettable comments" had been made and all staff were "being reminded of the diversity and inclusivity policies which they are required to uphold at all times".
A spokesperson for Prince William previously said "racism has no place in our society. The comments were unacceptable, and it is right that the individual has stepped aside with immediate effect."

All stated because they’re afraid, like everyone else, of being branded racist by the rabid, vocal minority that have us believe they’re the majority. All because of a question in polite conversation borne out of genuine interest, which was posed to a racist individual of Caribbean descent, using a false name whilst dressed as an African who had orchestrated the whole thing with intent of causing a shit storm.

For the love of goodness, get your head out of your backside and see the situation for what it was. That woman is an evil, nasty piece of work and as long as hand-wringing apologists keep pandering to her ilk, the spectre of racism will never go away.

The Palace was played, pure and simple.

I notice reports this morning that she claims online abuse has forced her to "temporarily suspend operations".
Funny how people do that when the spotlight turns on them.

I’m not saying what the rights and wrongs are, merely highlighting the actions of Buck House.

Racism will never go away until such time as everyone understands what racism is And acknowledges that it exists. And accepts people for who they are rather than the colour of their skin.

Maybe you should take your own advice.
There's a lot more to racism than skin colour.

read the post as a whole rather than cherry picking.
I did, hence my comment.

I'm fed up to the back teeth with the one dimensional view that so many people take on the subject of racism. As far as too many folk are concerned it's only ever about skin colour... and the reality of that is brown skin. There appears to be no such thing as racism against pink skinned people.
Yet that is utterly untrue because there IS racism against those with pink skin but it will never be acknowledged because it goes under the name of White Privilege.
That is such a ridiculous concept it defies belief... everyone with pink skin is guilty of systematic racism and has benefited from slavery and exploitation of those with brown skin purely because a couple of hundred years ago other pink skinned people were guilty of it.
That's like saying that I should be considered guilty of sedition because 277 years ago other Scots rebelled against The Crown.

Your comment was "And accepts people for who they are rather than the colour of their skin". If you agreed that racism is much more than prejudice against skin colour then why didn't you put "And accepts people for who they are rather than because of their race or ethnicity".

I broadly agree with what you say Although the last paragraph loses me.

would you agree that a person ‘of colour’ is in a much better position to really understand what racism is in this country.

I do not doubt that there is racism against ‘white’ people in this country. Sadly those with little if any acceptance of people that are ‘not the same as them’ are rife in all societies globally.

I also do not doubt that there are plenty of ‘white’ people in this country that cannot understand or more likely even want to try and understand why - as an example - it is sometimes appropriate for a person if a particular ethnicity to be given a job in certain circumstances.

Only you can unravel that one.
We have ALL tried to understand you,
but to no avail.
We are ALL with you in sympathy.
Dodging the question.

If you are going to make personal comments at least back them up with reason.

Yes.... and no.

There is no doubt that many brown skinned people have experienced some sort of racist attitude. But.... there are also many who have been "indoctrinated" to look for it where it doesn't really exist.
You only have to look at the way certain commonly used words and phrases with the word "black" in them are being eradicated to see that there are times when real racism is being supplanted by Illogical offense masquerading as racism.

As for the last paragraph in my previous post....

The difference between your comment.... "And accepts people for who they are rather than the colour of their skin" and my connent. .... "And accepts people for who they are rather than because of their race or ethnicity" can best be highlighted by something I was discussing with Squag recently.

There are folk alive today who will recall signs in various establishments saying "No Blacks, No Irish". The first part is prejudice against skin colour, the second is prejudice against ethnicity. Both are examples of racism by people who were unaccepting of other people because of their "race or ethnicity"....not just because of their inability to accept people due to skin colour.

Heaps of videos on Facebook from US of cops profiling people of colour for no reason.
One guy was across the road from his own house watering his neighbours lawn, they were away.
I think he ended up handcuffed and in the station.
An idiot neighbour reported him and after confrontation with police she then identified him as the local pastor:eek: they still arrested him.

Another guy was in his own front garden ......
Can't remember if he was arrested.

Further guy was arrested after moving into new house.
Remember guy running who was shot.....

% in jail in US abnormally high in relation of ratio to white population.

Obama said he also was profiled frequently.
