And I pose a further question - who exactly is the bloke on the video?

He definitely doesn’t seem to be not from here though. So that’s a bonus :risas3:

I read the article in the news. I don't see what's wrong with someone asking her from which country she descends; what's wrong with that? It's almost as if she has something to hide and I can't help thinking she was looking for an excuse to play the race card.

Here's another take on the matter:

Here's another take on the matter:

i don’t think the issue wasn’t that the question was asked - it was the way it was asked. In the way a person of a generation or two older than us would ask and not think they are being offensive.

Even in 2022 its amazing how many people don’t understand or will not accept that someone with a dark skin can be British.

At the end of the day all the ‘informed’ opinions on YouTube and other media are only there for one reason…jumping on the bandwagon to get clicks.

There.

Don't know about her but Nigel made a lot of assumptions - it was planned!!!

My mother might have asked those questions.

My Father was 91, he was in St James Hospital after a fall down stairs, he was in a four bed ward, we went to visit him, he declared (in a loud voice) “I’m bored” I said “why don’t you chat with the other patients?” He answered (still in a very loud voice) “because they’re all yids & they just speak Yiddish” just then an Asian Nurse pushed a tea trolley on to the ward & asked My Father if he wanted a cup of tea, he turned to me & said (yep, still very loud voice) “what’s she saying? What nationality is she?” From that you would conclude that he was racist but far from it, he just said it as he saw it.

I see my point went, like, 30,000 feet over your head. I wrote, very clearly “I don't see what's wrong with someone asking her from which country she descends.” I wasn’t questioning whether or not she was British and I doubt Lady Wosserface was either.

Race and nationality are two very different things and most of us know that. It seems you’re not entirely clear.

I think it was the alleged persistence of the questioning that seems to have been the focus.

I wasn't there.

Fact.

Which would not have been needed if she was not trying to make a pretty pathetic point
I have mates of all sorts of colours and creeds ... sometimes sitting chatting origins come up.. Mo has Spanish Irish and German somewhere in the family past, a yank mate is 1st nation ( actually full blood Comanche ), one mate who is black is third generation Norfolk but still as relatives in Jamaica
Another has family in Thailand etc etc etc
I know all this cos I asked .. no one felt offended.. and you know what its like when a few blokes get together.. the piss taking of our various origins is pretty merciless !

I doubt there are few people who do not see the thing for what it it.. A set up
The only ones making a song and dance are those with an agenda and those who are gaining. and of course the absolute arsehole millenniums on farcefook and utube who are spouting the same old racist diatribe

Talking of which.. As far as I can work out the ONLY racist present at the time was the bloody woman herself

I've read a comment elsewhere by a military chap who has attended a similar function with his wife.

He said that what happens is that the assistants and officials circulate, gathering as much information as possible from the attendees. This is then used to quickly brief any of the royals as they approach so they can have an appropriately personally relevant conversation.

He did say that at first it does feel a bit like being interrogated but then it makes perfect sense once in conversation with a royal.

Eh?
Where on earth did you get that from??

from what was reported in the media LadynWosserface was totally questioning ‘where are you really from?’ Despite having already been told the other party was British.

I am fully aware that you are making controversial comments to get clicks.

Fact.

I find it extremely hard to believe that a Lady in Waiting with decades of service and experience of dealing with a huge variety of people would still be in the job if she didn't have an extremely tactful approach.

I'm with Farage on this..... it's a stitch up and I'm disgusted that she was thrown to the wolves so quickly.

Ngosi fulani...real name Marlene Headly or something!!! Said that she felt traumatised and violated by the question "where are you from"....sounds like a typical millennial response..not from a woman of here age..
