My new project. Saw daylight for the first time in 12 months today. Honda CBR929RRY.

Bro-in-law's new bike (GSX-R750:bow:) and his (now mine) old one

Fair bit of tidying, after bro had his "off", mainly new rotor / stator. Fortunately the crank aint bent. Most of the parts have arrived over the last week.

If anyone ever thought crash bungs / shrooms were a waste of time. Think again. The R&G bungs saved all the plastics down the l/h side. Only reason the 'alternator' copped it was when it slide into the kerb.

Proper looking forward to getting "Oscar" back on the road / track.

Progress so far......

Managed to aquire another 929 engine yesterday. So today have been swapping a couple of bits over. Main thing being the alternator rotor. All in and assembled. Just waiting for our leader to come up with the stator windings now. Then its change the oil, fit new battery and Oscar will breath again:bow::bow:

mmmmmmmm........ drool...........

Should be getting meself a 929 next year, when I can afford it!! To be a second bike next to the bird!!

It looks right, just hope it rides as good!

Having looked at all sorts of bikes, it's very difficult to find better than a bird, and the 929 looks like a sports version with a much better power to weight ratio!

The bird will continue to serve as my main wheels though! Good luck with Oscar!!

Aaaah...

I see he feckin shit stabbers go for the bait again....

I said to the others last night, that we didnt need to put a "plop" sign at the bottom...

Well, we had a ovely 175 mile ride around The Forest of Dean, then up to Abbbbergavenny bus station to see how many fat OAP sportsbike riders were there...

Funnily enough, not too many (just a couple hangin their flamin blubber all over the tanks...:puke:)

Dont know why, but as soon as I saw them, I thought of you pair...

Back through the forest for a nice pic a nic, then back home for an ice cream :lick:

Great day, with good friends

Cheers,

Rolfy
